Remember the first STP

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's a sunny afternoon here in London and seeing Moon Grey Cat's thread reminded me of meeting him at the very first STP.

I don't think he twigged that I fancied him then.

The STP trio, a curious forum friendship. A small invitation only outdoor event with ribbons, tea, cake and me chasing and waving the people who couldn't find us.

I didn't go on to the pub that time but the tradition of afternoon gathering followed by pub until they throw us out began.

Does anyone have fond, or not so fond, STP memories?

Stratford

I remember being super shy at my first one, walking round the venue three times, having a beer on my own on the other side of the venue.

My dilly dallying cost me the opportunity to meet one of the members I was really excited to meet. Lovely to meet those I met the first time.

Then I loved my second STP and meet a bunch more lovelies. The bar staff were very intrigued to understand how we all knew each other. That time I didn’t need a solo Dutch courage drink

Yes. I arrived at one place to find out it was at another, Hatter was rather kind and came long leggedly galloping towards me so I wouldn't go in alone. I was rather overwhelmed and really needed a pee so I sort of said a quick hi to a few people (poor Swing!).

And I remember meeting Ligeia and yourself. And Marc! And then the gay bar, McDonald's with Ligeia, a taxi with much tipsy talk to the amusement of the taxi driver who had a full show of it and how wonderful she is. Definitely cemented my girl crush that day.
