"For optimum dramatic effect.

Soon as I saw this thread I was going to say "shitlist" by L7 in Natural born killers.

The Patti Smith song we cannot name is also well placed throughout the film.

"Baby driver - the whole movie...

Fantastic show!"

Should add for those who haven't seen it, that it's about a getaway driver who can pull off just about any move with the right track playing...

all action is choreographed against the soundtrack which is also superb!

Worth a watch!

Without doubt one of the most apt pieces of music for a scene in any film has to be,Inglourious Basterds - Cat People by David Bowie. One hell of a film, the genius of Tarrantino just shines through.

Whether or not you like his films you cannot say he doesn't know how to put a soundtrack together.

The Chain in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Both times, but especially the second time. The scene would not have worked even half as well without that specific track.

James Gunn is extremely talented at working actual songs (not just score) in to the narrative of the movie.

I find TV series have much better sound track to spine tingle ratio.

Money Heist, The Shield, The Blacklist to name just a few.

Here are some TV shows that introduced me to artists I'd never heard of at the time:

Last scene in last episode of Secret Diary Of A Call Girl - Adele, Someone Like You.

Marvel's The Gifted where the character called Twist kills innocent people in a bank robbery - Billie Eilish, Bad Girl.

Netflix's Behind Her Eyes final episode's end credits - Summer Kennedy, Bad Things.

I think the soundtracks fit the film really well. Quite punchy.

Seriously though.

The song Goodbye Horses used in Silence of the Lambs, really chilling.

Used to almost equally chilling effect in Clerks 2

"Really like skynards Freebird at the end of Devils Rejects.

Pure perfection. Some good tunes in 31 as well.

Right you are. Was a time i crushed out on Rob Zombies missus.

She was good in Halloween. I'm in the minority of people that prefer the zombie versions than the Carpenter.

Doomhead in 31 is my crush lol"

"Pretty Woman when they are going separate ways and the Roxette it must’ve been love song plays "

I watched it last night

One of my guilty pleasures that film

Julia Roberts was so perfectly cast in that role

In terms of the "fairy tale" romance then Roberts and Gere were well cast. If you're looking for a realistic hooker role then Theresa Russell in "Whore" was amazing.
