Good Morning Fab,

So we reply to every message even if it is a polite not this time or we are not your type, is it considered rude not replying to a wink if you find the profile appealing. A lot easier to just ignore the wink, no time wasted on either side, what is the norm.

Less rude than ignoring a message you have read. I feel a wink is a polite 'I find you appealing, if you reply we will chat' and keeps it low key but still showing interest. Sending a message that gets ignored can be a little deflating so a wink is a easier option.

It’s not rude to not reply to either an unsolicited wink or a message. Just because someone contacts you doesn’t mean you need to respond. I bet you don’t respond to every bit of junk mail that comes through your letterbox.

Whether it's a wink or a message is not offensive. If someone is offended by that then it is on them and makes literally no difference to anyone.

I always rely to messages, just being polite.

I never reply to winks, but that is made clear on my profile, so a wink just tells me that they haven't read it.

Beyond the shadows.

I think the norm is no reply equals no interest on messages. Probably the same with winks, to be honest I don't notice wink's half the time.

We always reply to messages even if not interested unless it’s someone who copy and pasted messages then they just get deleted

It's great that you reply to every message. You probably need a PA! I wink back if I find the wink profile appealing

It's great you reply to every message, even if it is a polite no. For me a wink is 'Hi, I like you profile, wink if you like mine' No winky, no likey.

We reply to most messages, even if it is just to say "no thanks".

I very rarely remember to look at winks to be honest.

so what is an unsolicited wink or message, so it's not asked for , then no one will ever talk to anyone as someone will be making contact either you or them , both either way it's unsolicited, or am i missing the point.

Unsolicited just means not asked for. There should be no obligation to respond. But if you like what you see then of course you can.

I only send a message if I receive a wink back, I think not winking back is a better way to politely say I'm not interested. I think you are being very polite by replying to every message but don't think people would be too upset if you did the normal thing and ignored them unless they were exceptionally good messages even though not suitable people.
