What's the best ending of a song?, or 'extro' if that's a word?

For me, I think it's the ending of Mr Blue Sky, ELO.

Those cello's and violins through the headphones give me goosebumps.

The ending of Guns n Roses' Estranged always sends me. After the final guitar solo, the last verse builds, the instruments reach a crescendo then fade to leave Axl's last word acapela then a chord on the piano and seconds later a drum roll.

...or (and this may be contentious as it is the "ending" of the song, but not really the outro as such)...

The F1 theme bit at the end of the chain by fleetwood mac

Fade to black by Metallica has one of my favourite outro’s of all time.

She used to be mine - Sara bareilles

‘ She is messy but she's kind

She is lonely most of the time

She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie

She is gone but she used to be mine’

She has the most beautiful voice

Similar vein but the piano exit in Layla by Derek and the dominos.

John Squire's guitar solo at the end of I am the Resurrection.

Or it could be extravagantly self-indulgent. Not sure.

AC/DC - "Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round to Be a Millionaire.)"

Love the bit towards the end (it can only just be heard above the rocking noise with headphones cranked up.)

"Hey you, get your fucking jumbo jet off my airport!"

It makes me grin everytime I play it!

"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" is a very underated album in my opinion. It's definately a classic....

The one that came to mind immediately. So good. A false ending and then starts again with silky smooth guitars.

Guns n roses, November Rain! I absolutely love the ending of that, you think it’s finished then Slash throws in a solo for good measure! Miss PC

Him stepping up onto that piano to rock out is one of the coolest moments committed to video
