Sea or river?

Many private places, boating lakes etc won't let you use inflatables.

You'd need a really decent one to do sea kayaking... inflatable kayaks are what the RNLI are for

Not at all an expert though.

Sea mainly as it's at the end of my road harbour rather than open sea tho.

Decathlon do a good selection. I’ve had mine 3 years now.

Used on Stillwater, rivers/canals and sea in flat, calm conditions.

Sevylor are built way better than the 'budget' units you find in Aldi etc, mine has the air pockets protected by a heavy duty casing

There are sea going inflatable kayaks but we have both touring and inflatable kayaks. It depends on exactly on what you plan to use it for and your budget also you need a license to use any kind of waterborne conveyance including, paddle boards and kayaks on rivers or canals from from the canals and rivers trust.

We have one from Decathlon, can’t think of the name and only used it on Windermere but it’s very stable, it’s a two man and I get out to swim and clamber back in without tipping it and Will fishes off the back for pike while I do the work we’ve had it about three years and still perfect.

Passed Beyond Reach

We use Sevylor Alameda, 2 + 1, double skinned so you can replace inflatable parts, seats are actually suspended from the sides so you don't get any arse drag on the bottom, sleak and straight line performance is excellent and it is reasonably priced.

Don’t buy those inflatable shoes to walk on water, I came very close to popping my clogs on some rocks.
