Today I visited the cemetery where all of my family are burried. We always go to the same place and I can trace my family tree back there for a couple of hundred years. After spending some time there reading through the gravestones it made me think that I will be dead soon enough and I don't feel as if I've done anything with my life. I'm stuck in the same gear and nothing is changing.

It’s never too late to make a change in direction

Think of some adventures, put them on your bucket list and then give them a go!

You're 40. You're not that old honestly.

Make your health a priority and set some realistic goals you'd like to see yourself accomplish. What would you like to do?

Sending you a virtual hug.

Make some changes then, it doesn't have to be massive. Everything has to start somewhere

It could be seeing new places, fitness or volunteering for example. Some relatively small things can make a big difference

Tell someone else your life story and they will see things very differently. All we can do is life the life closest to the one we would like to be living within the constraints that we have… My life isn’t exactly where I’d like it to be but I’m getting there…what is it that you’d like to change where would you like to go?

I often think of my life having been wasted and then it’s only when I talk to others and their reaction I realise that in many ways i have had a full life filled with experiences that some others may never have…..

Sometimes we just need to stop and slow down reevaluate and start our journey again be that in the same direction or a new path.xx

I would highly recommend taking up meditation.

Most of us are lovely people, and are willing to offer some decent advice no matter how deep the subject may be. x

Yeah, I often feel I'm wasting my life but don't know what direction to go in.

Think I ended up here in part because I want to feel connected to people more but I find it difficult.

It's a good question to be asking yourself but I need to get myself outside when it starts driving me crazy

If you think things aren’t right for whatever reason and that they need to change, then do something now. It’s easy to say you’ll do something someday but when someday comes around it becomes the new now and things get put off over and over.

Probably not, very few people are. However I'm happy with how my life is. I haven't achieved anything that will leave a lasting legacy or win me a damehood, I had an ordinary and unremarkable job, I don't want to climb mountains or jump out of plains. It's enough for me to live a fairly quiet life and enjoy small pleasures

I think it's good for the mind to get out and do things
