Chill! Was just conversation. No one is in a bad mood. It’s something that women get multiple times a day so was literally agreeing with the lady above. Don’t take it so seriously.

Over a 12 month period I've become vegan, not touched any animal derived products in my food since June 2020.

I know it's not for everyone and if was can park the philosophical argument about eating meat, I can say that the effect on my health has been dramatic.

I started by cutting out processes meats, bacon and the like just to try and be healthier as I'd recently started running again.

I then read a few articles about the effects on muscle recovery by going plant based so I thought ok, I'll give a it a month or two.

I can tell you that almost immediately my post run recovery was incredible, less fatigue and aches and I've never looked back, add in the fact I've been able to come off BP meds and Statins both of which I'd taken for around 10 years.

OK it's not for everyone but if you want to improve your health, give it a go.

I’ve been trying to do this for so long, I’m good with the not eating meat as I don’t really like it, so it was easy. It’s taking it to the next stage for me.

I eat eggs every day and that would be the tough part for me to give up

I was similar, 2 boiled eggs for breakfast everyday, can't deny there aren't foods I miss however I balance that against the improvement in my health and I'm cool with it, as I said it's not for everyone.

Breakfast these days tends to involve either homemade muesli or porridge with some blueberries, currants and sultanas mixed in.

Fortunately I've not had covid (yet) and I'm double vaxxed do hopefully will avoid a serious dose if I do.

As for food tastes, yep I said above, there I things initially but what I did was challenge myself to make interesting tasty food, I cook 90% of the meals at home so all good there, tonight we're having satay tofu skewers with lime, ginger and coriander noodles, delicious and balanced.

An example of post run recovery, I did my first marathon distance last October at the age of 53 and the next day, while a bit tired, I was up and about, took the dogs for a walk etc, compare that to my brother who'd done it at age 26 and who said he could barely walk the next day, ok it's not scientific but there's loads out there with similar experiences.

Oh and it's obviously great for stamina

I get that and understand perfectly

I tried that

It's just sometimes you get home tired from work and you want to eat something quick and then go to sleep if you want

That's why for me sometimes ordering from KFC or some takeaway sounds easier

I know it's not healthy

But at the moment I'm happy like that

But I would love to hear more about your advice

Sounds something that I might be interested ...but of course after holiday

Ibiza is waiting me next week ))

Nothing wrong with a takeaway though obviously KFC doesn't do it for me though I believe they now do a vegan friendly chicken burger, I've not tried it yet and Subway to a very tasty chicken substitute sub!

And of course there's always pizza, tesco do a couple of very tasty ones in their Wicked range.

As for advice, I can only tell you how it's benefited me

Give it a go once you're back from holiday, you never know and if you do take exercise, you'll hopefully notice the difference
