Roman milkshakes!

Did the Romans have milkshakes? I was reading up the Chinese milkshakes were the pioneers but the Roman milkshakes were full fat and highly creamy having extra ingredients. Has anyone ever been to Rome and had a Roman milkshake or for that matter gone to China for one and how did they compare?

Well the roman milkshakes were made with full cream, Mac D milkshakes are all vegifat. So looking at it the roman milkshakes are bound to be of a better quality as the contents of a roman milkshake are all natural and full of non human milk or maybe they did contain human milk to make the roman milkshakes deliciously tasty.

Italians do make very nice icecreams, probably nicked the idea from northern Chinese/Mongolian, who shook milk with snow while riding their horses to make some kind of dessert, or something like that.

I love the roman milkshake as its a good variant on what we get here. I know the Mongolians do yack milk beer so maybe they started it. Do you think the Mongolians used human milk to make it extra special or even man milk but that would make it a little salty

They are rumoured to use human milk from the breasts of nubile human milk herds but I am not so sure. I have seen human milk in babies bottles and human milk always looks think and watery not like double cream. Is it possible to use human milk in one of those ice cream machines to make Fruit of the woman milk 99's?

There is place in London making ice cream from human breast milk. I haven't read anything about them making milkshakes but I can't see why they wouldn't.

Were these Roman milkshakes flavoured? Or, are you referring to milkshakes from the modern Rome?

Human breast milk ice cream is already commercially available in the UK.

Human milk available in ice cream that you can buy? Who wants to buy human milk ice cream? So they could make human miklshakes or smoothie things form it then?

The roman milkshakes were some sort of sorbet ice milk thing apparently. The word was the original roman milkshakes contain human milk but with health and safety the modern roman milkshakes had to be herd tested if they wanted to add human milk and I dont think any woman would want her arse branding so she could produce human milk. How do the English human milk providers get round H&S or the foodie equiv to be able to sell human milk?

Yes, ice cream made from churned human milk. I suppose they could make milkshakes and smoothies with it.

A lot of people want to buy it, apparently. It sold out really quickly when first launched, even though a serving in a martini glass cost (IIRC) £14!

Google for human breast milk ice cream and you'll find a load of information about the launch by The Icecreamists in Covent Garden, (early last year).

These are all from legitimate news websites so I think (hope) I'm ok to post them. Health precautions are mentioned in the first link, and are the focus of the final link.

I would have thought it would be really hard to churn from human milk as its thinner or the human milk I have seen is.Do some groups provide thicker human milk than others?

I have googled human milk and all combinations of breast milk but human milk brings up all sorts of human milk fetish sites not people producing products from human milk although some do. Its a real fascinating subject though and it makes you think human milk is undervalued, human milk has less fat content, human milk has antibodies in and the women producing human milk must be able to eat more and not put on weight as a lot of the food eaten is turned into human milk. Goggling all this is like opening a huge can of worms though.

It's a great place. Lots of very expensive ice cream cocktails. I have not had the human breastmilk ice cream though.

The Icecreamists make some other unusual stuff too.

There's the ‘Vice Lolly’ which they claim is "an unholy cocktail of hallucinogenic Absinthe loaded with miraculous Holy Water (not bullets) and frozen into the shape of a firearm".

From their blog: The Vice Lolly is made with Holy Water imported 576 miles from the shrine at Lourdes and blended with 80% Absinthe for a spiritual refreshment that is miraculous and medicinal in a single lick. The recipe is contained in their new book ‘Ice Creams, Vice Creams & Other Guilty Pleasures’ out in June.

They also make the "Sex Bomb" which is supposed to be an aphrodisiac.

I love ice cream, but don't know if i could have rum n raisin woman milk ice cream. I would be a little concerned some sly bar-stuard would slip some man milk in there to get me. I would love to have a go at gently extracting woman milk to make my human milk ices or human milkshakes!

Sounds like a good book all I need a a few women milk producers to provide me with a few pints of human milk for my human milk ice cream factory. Somehow I don't think thats going to happen though.

I can't be the only one who opened this thread thinking it was going to be about some strange sexual practice I hadn't heard of.
