The issue I have with this book is that it doesn’t really recognise desire. The need to feel desired doesn’t fit in very well and it’s wrong to lump it in with Touch.

It’s about understanding how your partners and yourself feel loved and that how you feel it often isn’t the same as your partner. It’s primarily for couples struggling and a way to fix the communication problem

I agree feeling desired or loved. What would make you feel desired? You could want to be told so words of affirmation etc it’s how you feel wanted and loved

I get this. Desire is different. Words used (affirmation) mean nothing if not also communicated through touch, through the little things that you do for each other (service), etc.

Personally, I can if someone is sexually interested by the spark in their eyes, their body language, the way they are talking, the little touches ... Innother words, it’s a combination of lots of things.

Now, that doesn’t negate the value of understanding someone’s love language. For instance, I very clearly show love through acts of service followed by physical touch. My other half needs words of affirmation and quality time. We both give what the other needs to feel loved. But neither help with feeling desired. My opinion only!
