Good evening all going back to when you was a nipper living at home did you ever here your mum and dad swear I heard my mum say bloody occasionally but that was as strong as it got how about you

Heard my dad swear once and that was on his deathbed, we were all quite shocked, but the palliative care nurse assured us it was quite normal

Oh yes, was a constant thing growing up in my house. I don't think anything was off limits and they had no issues with us kids swearing too.

Mine would say bloody and if it was really serious they might say “pissin’ hell!!”, I think I was about 25 when I heard my dad say fuck As kids we weren’t allowed to swear, would probably get a slap off my mam if we did

Swearing wasn’t allowed in my house either once the kids came along, I wouldn’t even allow them to call each other “idiot”, it’s a bit different now we are all grown ups

My mum did swear but never at my sister my brother or myself but we certainly didn't swear as we certainly would be in trouble.

Dont remember my dad swearing but but do remember they always argued on a sunday and us kids always commented on that one.

I have to add though they were the best parents ever, even had an older sister who they sort of adopted as as her own dad didn't want her.

My dad worked in the medical field in the Prison industry & towards the end of his life being in that that environment rubbed off on him somewhat ..and yes he swore a lot & was crude & had a very dark sense of humour with it.

My mum is the opposite- never swears to this day..

I'm in the middle.. & do swear sometimes.
