The sex is definitely getting better and better and more of it.

The older we are getting the more we are becoming open minded. That’s down to a couple of things - we realise now is maybe our last chance to have these experiences and also doing this together has broadened our opportunities and we are making the most of it.

For me I think it depends a lot on who you are with and the habits. I don't think being an individual who is sexually motivated ever changes (well not so far) it's just what you can or can't do about it that changes and clearly biology / physiology has an effect too.

I think that is the key really: my mind certainly responds to the self-same stimuli it always did ( and a few new ones accumulated with experience) but the body takes longer to catch up, so to speak. As an older male and from my perspective it doesn't get lost it just changes. I am in a fortunate/unfortunate depending on your view point to have been involved with the scene at many different levels for many years. You do get to the point that you have pretty much seen it all and done it all.

I have seen many things, some disturbing, Probably seen more naked people and sex than most will see in a lifetime (Not a shameless brag just simple truth - people will take it how they want).

See things differently and don't get turn on by the same things. I have a gorgeous partner who I met through the scene and to put it bluntly sex is as good as it ever was.

So to answer your OP

Certainly different from when I was 24 the first brought into the scene. hasn't diminished just changed or you could say evolved

This is probably due to a number of contributory factors. My unhappy marriage has ended, my children are older, my job gives me greater challenges and satisfaction, my relationship gives me total happiness, I no longer have some of the health issues I used to encounter, I am physically fitter than I have ever been etc

I suppose with age the often used phrase on fab of quality over quantity, really does come into play.

The days of the fumble in a car or a flying splash and dash visit don’t have the same appeal as they once did. When young and the requisite hormones are in abundant supply the duration and frequency of love making is heightened. That said I have 40 year old work colleagues that, for varying reasons, have a subdued libido.

For my part I have never had to resort to the blue friend and never failed to rise to the occasion but as stated earlier the act of sexual liaisons is now one of the build up the interaction and the giving and receiving of intimate pleasures.

I was listening to a couple of chaps in their mid 80s talking about their sex lives. One asked the question as to when the other had last had sex. Its different for women, childbirth and the menapause cause alot of problems.

Having a RTA some years ago plus the menapause has altered my libido drastically and some women take it as the end of their sexual adventure. It caused problems to begin with but i have done everything i possibly can to keep the fire burning by seeing Dr's who have prescribed HRT and certain other things and it is working, im not the rampant woman i was in my 30s but im not dead yet and i dont intend to be for a very long time. Plus i want my husband to be happy too, isnt that what being in love with someone is, keeping the fires burning for one another? Xx

I didn't have much of a libido at 25 due to life circumstances but it's dipped in and out over the years depending on what's going on.

I'm certainly not the raging horn monster I was in my teens but that just means I may need to sleep at some point in 24hrs. I also take more time to get to know someone now.

Far greater now for me (Mrs). Had very little sex drive in my 20’s and 30’s, probably due in part to the relationships I was in. Hit 40, got divorced, met Mr our Flr and now hornier than ever plus exploring stuff never thought I would due to increased confidence and I think being with the right person.
