Ladiesss, how good are you with your make up? And now that we can finally go clubbing and socialise out,do you enjoy to dare with ur make up and doll up?

I admit I’m not a make up guru at all, but my hand isn’t that bad, I can finally do cats eyes that resembles sisters (never twins lol) so they aren’t that bad. But I know some can do some killer cats eyes …working towards that

Also I’m trying to dare a bit more when going to social events as I tend to have my signature look which is very basic and nude-y

Ive literally experiment during the weekend a Euphoria inspired look (Maddy - what a queen) x with tiny pearls on my lid instead to recreate the cat’s eye and it was so much fun.

Id rate myself a 7/10

My favourite item apart from the black pen… is blush…

Sounds an amazing eye look!

I love experimenting, especially with the eyes, the asymmetrical graphic liner, pops of color or a dramatic lash - I love make up its playful/sexy/fun and an expression of your personality!

Xx

Ill post some pics on here , it took me fucking forever but was worth it x I got complimented a lot

And I agree, pops of colour and dramatic lash are so good. I think it’s definitely a good way to express personality and I know some love the fresh face look (which I tend to keep it super basic on a day to day basis) but good make up looks make me feel like a bad bitch

I don't do heavy make up.

I look awful with heavily made up eyes and dark lipstick, so I stick to natural shades.

I put slightly darker eye shadow on so it shows in photos on a night out though.

I don't contour or have thick eye liner or brows.

I also never seem to be able to do dark eyeshadow and tend to stick to lighter or nude shades with maybe a purple near the end of the lid x

Mines an apply and smudge technique. Bit emo!

I do love a girl in make up, not keen on the lip fillers and drawn on eye brows.

Red lipstick and dark eyes always do it for me.

I loooove getting dolled up and will beat my face for the gods for a night out, but for daytime/casual I lately prefer a natural, dewy look. Been using just skin tints over a good gel moisturiser instead of foundation. Mascara on the upper lashes only for a doe eyed look, highlighter around my cheekbones and forehead, bronzer across my cheeks and nose and finish off with a bit of lip blush

I think I'm pretty good for an amateur, but not good enough to put it on social media. I love experimenting with eyeshadow and blush placement in particular. I'm not huge on the eyebrows, I mostly fill in the patchiness, although I play with bigger brows occasionally.

I tend to skip bronzer and contour.

I do try and keep mine light as I feel like I'm suffocating when I have too much on. Took me ages to master eyeliner but I think it looks great when done. Never really wear make up on a day to day basis but do like to get glammed up occasionally x

I am so bad at doing my own makeup! I done a MUA diploma during lockdown (because, why not) and I don’t feel like I really gained a huge amount from it. I’ve also embraced lockdown laziness when it comes to painting my face, I very rarely do it now.

I’ve got a wonderful MUA who gets me dolled up whenever I do go out. I do feel like I should practice more though. It’s so satisfying watching some of the transformation vids

I'm good and know what I'm doing, but nowhere near the level most people at these days. I like to keep it simple day to day, although I'm trying to use some of my palettes up as I have so many so some days I'm going a little fancy on the eyelids. I'm not the best at brows and I can't put on false lashes to save my life.

I adore makeup though. I wish I had more confidence to be bold with it but I don't like my face.

I’m so jealous ,would love to be able to do a cat’s eye look .I did try learning the Smokey eye look by following a you tube tutorial but ended up looking like a panda . I can do the basic looking make up nicely but would love to be able to be more complicated so I’d rate myself a 5/10 ..

I'm pretty pants at it so not very adventurous. I hardly wear make up and when I do, it's very natural. I like a bit of concealer if I've got bags under my eyes, maybe some mascara and a nice lipgloss or lipstick and that's it. I can't be bothered with faffing about anymore than that.

I'd also give myself 7/10. I can do the make up looks I do pretty damn well but it would be good to have a few more looks under my belt as I tend to do fairly similar things. A lot of that is down to money though as decent make up is expensive!

The less fake the better.

Avoid giving yourselves the "Love Island" look at any cost and yiu will be halfway there.

Dump the 2 inch talons and spider leg eyelashes along with the bladed brows.

Just my opinion.

This was a thread about what kind of makeup people like to do on themselves, and how good they are at it/what they would like to learn to do.

I'm really rather boring with my makeup - don't wear anything day to day and if I'm making an effort it's vaseline, bit of eyeshadow and mascara. I'd love to be able to do a matte lip, in a merlot shade but I don't know. I feel like I look stupid and really childish with makeup on. Add in sensory issues and it's sadly something I'll admire on other women but probably won't be for me.

I'm pretty pants tbh. But I also rarely practice at the moment as I dont bother with makeup at home really.

I'm terrible with eye makeup as I have tremblely hands (some hereditary thing apparently) Plus needing glasses with a weak left eye. So more often than not I end up just stabbing myself in the eye with eyeliner then crying
