Ladies - what’s your thoughts about being approached by men in a public place and being told directly you’re good looking and asking for your phone number? Some say they like a man with confidence but also potential to be extremely awkward !!

I prefer when they give me their number, then there's no pressure on me.

I don't think sometimes men realise quite how intimidating it can be to be approached when I'm out alone. If they're demanding my number it's a nervy thing trying to reject with tact, so quite often I feel under pressure to give it out even if I really don't want to.

A guy giving me his number is a very different proposition, and the last time it happened I was tickled pink (though I was wearing a mask which probably helped as he couldn't see my face properly!)

Portsmouth

I would never give my number to a complete stranger.

Pay me a compliment by all means, as long as it's not crude, and ask if you can give me your number.

1 I’d freeze on the spot

2 I’d probably laugh it off

3 walk very quickly in the opposite direction

Because then he’d have to tell a second fib!

I like to be approached and chatted to, but I don't want a guy to ask for my number. He can give me his if he's interested, but I would prefer him to focus on chatting to me first!
