"I expect a few sour pusses poo pooing the Olympic's on this thread but really couldn't care less. The last two weeks has been amazing and following the past 18months not only for the UK but everyone around the world the Olympics gave us the opportunity to pull together and enjoy something away from the doom and gloom, the sadness of many lives lost and many lives changed forever. It's given us the chance to appreciate sporting excellence at its best. Sadly no spectators allowed but in many ways it kind of added to how special and different these games have been and sport, unity and diversity has been the real winner. I'm pretty emotional today and so proud of not only all of team GB but all the athletes and support staff that have once again given is the greatest show on earth and given many hundreds of millions of people worldwide a Chance to feel part of a worldwide community. Bring on 2024. Thank you Tokyo and the people of Japan for an excellent games." Here here  | |||

Just as well discovery own Eurosport and they agreed with sky Europe to have the 9 overflow channels….. It will be interesting to see if they do the same thing for the Paralympic Games… I am another who has pre registered for Paris tickets….. I have to say I didn’t miss not having the crowds as much as I thought because the support staff made enough noise | |||

Yes they have introduced break dancing I'm not sure where this fit's in the Olympics but I'm sure it must somewhere. Speaking as someone who grew up in the 80's as breaking and body popping emerged I was very much into it and took part in many dance off's. It's incredibly hard and the practice required is right up there I was just a teen-ager dancing on street corners and local youth club's but the level it's at today they are professional athletes. But I'm really not sure about it being an Olympic event. Will have to wait and see I guess." Will it just be a one off like the karate this year though? | |||
