"I’ve enjoyed it, did miss the spectators though. Commonwealth games to look forward to now " I imagine that with crowd's it would have been another level of brilliant and yes it was missed but I also think it proved that sport can overcome. Ive filled out the pre registration for tickets for Paris.

"As usual BBC’s coverage was pathetic and mostly highlights with brain donor Hazel Irvine who knows as much about sport as I do brain surgery . And who in the bbc decided what sports they showed absolutely nothing of never even got a mention Thank god for Eurosport and what coverage if any will bbc give to Paralympic Games in a couple big weeks time ? 5 minutes of highlights at 6am " The BBC didn’t have much choice from what I can gather as the IOC sold the rights for Tokyo & Paris (so preserve coverage for future games) to Discovery & then there was the 8 hour time difference. The Paralympics are being shown on C4 J

Just as well discovery own Eurosport and they agreed with sky Europe to have the 9 overflow channels….. It will be interesting to see if they do the same thing for the Paralympic Games… I am another who has pre registered for Paris tickets….. I have to say I didn’t miss not having the crowds as much as I thought because the support staff made enough noise

"I never watched much of it... Was it on at night then highlights the next day.. I wonder if it's outgrown itself.. some of the events are a joke in my opinion " Nope it's not outgrown itself at all. And just because a sport isn't supported in this country doesn't mean it's any less important.

Well that's more to do with the country not the event. In my opinion London did it right. Paris likewise will use existing site's and temporary venue's. Sport is a powerful and positive thing.

"One thing I will say is. Whilst I'm very much for the new sport's introduced with the aim to engage the younger generation and it definitely seems to have worked. France 2024 breaking!! Yes they have introduced break dancing I'm not sure where this fit's in the Olympics but I'm sure it must somewhere. Speaking as someone who grew up in the 80's as breaking and body popping emerged I was very much into it and took part in many dance off's. It's incredibly hard and the practice required is right up there I was just a teen-ager dancing on street corners and local youth club's but the level it's at today they are professional athletes. But I'm really not sure about it being an Olympic event. Will have to wait and see I guess." Will it just be a one off like the karate this year though?

But I'm my humble opinion more of a sport than dressage.

And years of trust built between the rider and horsey.

"GB team too white and too sub urban according to the news..." Here's a list of all the medal winners. Seems a pretty decent mix to me. Lots of non-white people and lots of people from ordinary "working class" backgrounds. Also just because someone is white, it doesn't mean they are financially privileged.
