I bought crab sticks from the supermarket and it made me think of the cockle man for some reason. And smoking in pubs lol

Yes!! Everyone used to shout "Super Cockle" at him then pretty much clear him out... It was a rugby club full of pissed up players and their families... Loved it

Reconstituted crab sticks... Thing is whatever you bought from the "shellfish" man was always drowned in vinegar and pepper so couldn't taste anything anyway.

There's no crab in them. They are mushed up mashed fish with additives painted pink and rolled up n squashed......

Yes I remember him and the on going joke every week..... have you got crabs!! the d*unks would think its the funniest punn and brilliant that they had come up with it!! Our fish man would sell a cheese and cracker packet X2 cream crackers, cheese triangle and 2 pickled onions yum that was always my purchase. I'm still the odd one out now and it's just the way I like it lol kinks x
