Goodbye salad days, and welcome to autumn/winter dishes.

Making a pasta bake tomorrow, in bulk, so that I can freeze some for later.

Soups, stews and curries etc. will be made soon, as the freezer is a bit bare!

My kids love stews and casseroles, find it much easier to do it all in one pot.. Afternoon nursery placement helps as i get chance to prepare it all

My main meal is lunch, and seldom eat a full meal in the evening.

Being single, it can be too much hassle to cook a meal at a time. Hence I like to cook in bulk at weekends, and freeze whatever I do not eat in good air tight plastic containers, to be eaten for lunch at work.

Just need to add some starch and veg, and I have a nice home-cooked meal to enjoy.

And it is cheaper to cook in bulk too!

My eldest daughter lives on her own and likes good food so she does this too.

It would be good to get a cooking syndicate together. Then each week you bulk cook and hand out portions to the other members. Then you end up with a variety of meals but only have to cook once.

Brown sauce for lacytop and dijon mustard for pearl then Tell you what thought its not like when I was a nipper. You can get inported lettuce and tomatoes in the depths of winter .nowadays.

Hot porridge, made with milk and sugar not salt and water, perhaps with a little maple syrup or golden syrup to start my day most cold mornings.

I love stews and broths for my evening meal

I take Ready Brek when I go camping, and have that with double cream and a bit of sugar or honey to warm me up while I cook my fry up.

Gonna make a batch of leek and potatoes soup. I make large batches and freeze on portions and over the weeks then get a mixture in the freezer.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Had mash in the week for the first time in ages because the spuds are starting to get a bit old now! No hardship though as I love my new spuds with butter and mint but I also love mash too!
