I’ve just ordered myself a Chinese and it got me wondering do you have a set favourite order you make? I’ve ordered exactly the same thing from the Chinese for more years than I can remember

Duck

Egg fried rice

Mini spring rolls

Fortune cookie

Maybe it’s time to look at the rest of the menu

So many options but you should give the others a try, you might find a new favourite

I too get stuck in a Chinese rut. I try other things but they're not that nice so I end up going back to ribs, beef in black bean, noodles, and a side of salt and pepper chips.

Not really a takeaway fan, I find them too greasy and full of salt, altogether far too unhealthy

Never had a Chinese takeaway but when it comes to pizza I get the same thing every time. Medium stuffed crust pepperoni pizza.

I don't get anything different because nothing is better

Yep I’ll only order pepperoni pizza and only from Pizza Hut I seem to have fixed orders for all takeaways

Order one extra dish, that way you know you’ve got your favourites to fall back on if it’s awful. If it turns out to be good you can freeze a leftover dish if you can’t manage it all

Sometimes I alter the main bit. Instead of crispy beef I have:

Monks vegetables with cashews & boiled rice.

Yuk Sung (chopped diced pork, onions, diced carrots, peas, mushrooms in an Iceberg lettuce leaf - lovely with Cantonese sauce!) It's a meal for 2 really though! I have it as a main meal but really it's an apetiser. Boiled rice also.

I make my own Chinese or Indian takeaway, I think it tastes better.

The one think I do order is Halloumi Gyros

I once felt adventurous and decided to stray from my usual Chinese order. Never again, tasted like cough syrup and I've been scarred with that memory ever since. Always stick with Ol' faithful!

I usually cook my own "fakeaways" as the take-outs around here are pretty disappointing.

Just avoid my fingers if I've decided to cook a "naga special". I once went for a piss during the "simmer" stage and even though I washed my hands before and after I now know what it would feel like to be circumcised with barbed wire...
