Somewhere In The Ether…

In reference to films and TV:

Yes, we all know that cinema and indeed series etc on the small screen is a realm of fantasy but has there ever been anything you’ve watched in which your suspension of disbelief could simply not handle the sheer weight of bullshit you were beholding?

I’ll give you an example to illustrate my point: The first Hobbit film: The hero’s are on a bridge which falls about fifty storeys down a cavernous ravine and finally jams between the sides just before it hits the ground whereby everyone miraculously climbs off completely unscathed.

List your examples here good folks - or else are you able to completely turn off logic and enjoy a film purely for what it is?

Fast 6, 7, 8 and 9

The ones before that were enjoyable enough to let certain things slide

Okehampton

Lord of the rings is really an allegory for 4 short homosexuals coming out. They each go on a personal journey of self discovery which ends up with two of them destroying someone’s ring, one of them being mesmerised by a magical ball and the final one poking his sword into something nasty.

I have no idea why I wrote this.

In Sharknado people were being attacked by sharks in a flooded house, but when they cut to an outside shot of the house there was no flood.

That was the only part of “sharknado” that made you suspend belief?

It was the only bit I saw, I'm sure the rest is perfectly cromulent.

Are you suggesting it wasn't based on real events?
