If someone is trying to tune into you what things can they do or say that really don't impress you?

I am definitely not impressed by those who flaunt how much money or cars and such like ...in fact it has the opposite effect!

Pretty much the same, also those who name drop A LOT, and they seem the only ones to know everyone and everyone who matters… and they try to live off the shining reflection …

Thank you, NEXT!

I’ve not experienced women flaunting money, cars possessions etc. and guess it’s probably much more common with men doing this. I agree, that it’d really put me off. Our personal worth isn’t measured by wealth.

I like men with a bit of get up and go. If they suggest cuddling up on the sofa with a film (which seems to be THE chat up line on dating sites) I always think that sounds a bit dull. Plenty of time to do that once a relationship progresses, in the meantime I like a bit of oomph.

Doesn’t mean I want to jump out of a helicopter though, I have my limits.

Material things mean nothing if your attitude completely sucks, I’ve zero issues with people who have worked hard to achieve luxuries in life but if they want to wax lyrical about money/cars/expensive houses and what not I’ll switch off, what you have on the inside appeals way more to me than the clothes on your back or the car you drive x

There are a few things that don't really impress me but mainly it's people *trying" to impress me. Just be you and I'll decide if I like you or not.

I'm happy for people to talk to me about cars, money, possessions, status etc etc I'm interested to know about their life. I get a bit fed up if they don't want to hear about my life in return though.

That's very true.

I think everyone likes to present themselves a certain way. The thing is what you believe you're presenting I'd frequently not what other people see. It's often interesting to note the difference in self image and the image other people have of you. I've frequently been surprised.

On a mooch

Just be themselves is the simplest way, I’ll soon know if click or not. Those that put on false airs & graces and alike, always end up showing their true selves as they can’t keep the masquerade up forever.

I have no interest in what people own, drive, do for a living, how much they earn, etc, it’s irrelevant as it’s the person, their character/manners I choose to spend time with not their possessions or bank balance.

Someone who treats service workers like shit, especially in hospitality.

We've all had meals that weren't right. Someone who creates a massive stink to make themselves look important rather than just explaining the issue and agreeing a solution makes me cringe, there's no need.

I’ve never struggled but equally I don’t act like a prick either.

I never really keep what I earn.. I’m like a big kid and I like to enjoy buying things and sharing what I have.

Having money stops a lot of worries but it’s not the answer to everything

I’d be happy with a woman with little as long as she made me smile,

"If someone is trying to tune into you what things can they do or say that really don't impress you?

I am definitely not impressed by those who flaunt how much money or cars and such like ...in fact it has the opposite effect!

All of this and an over abundance of compliments, it starts to sound disingenuous "

Ok I will stop then

Cars? Nope. I have car blindness and really don't give a toss what someone drives as long as it gets from a to b.

Watches? Really? Not for me unless they plan to leave it to me in their will!

Heavy cummer? Nah.I get my wallpaper paste from Wilco

"I’ve never struggled but equally I don’t act like a prick either.

I never really keep what I earn.. I’m like a big kid and I like to enjoy buying things and sharing what I have.

Having money stops a lot of worries but it’s not the answer to everything

I’d be happy with a woman with little as long as she made me smile, "

Some are rich, some are wealthy, I think there is big difference between the two.

I'm not rich but consider myself wealthy.

To much talk about ex lovers or partners.

People that can't help but moan about everything.

Dragging others down over things like physical appearance etc.

All massive no no's for us

There's a lot to be said for non-cocky confidence

Confidence in themselves, confidence in their abilities and skills, confidence with their looks

When it turns into cockiness, bravado and ego, however, they've lost the game with me

I can't be doing with 'Billy Big Balls' types

This for me too, especially if I get the vibe they are still hung up on them.

Had a guy send an opening message once, with a picture of his boat. No pic of him, just his boat. I asked him if he really thought I'd be impressed enough that my knickers would just fall off. He thought it was worth a try apparently
