Had a week away with my ex and 4 of her mates driving holiday through Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia. White water rafting, markets and street food in Sarajevo, Dubrovnik and great restaurants. And Montenegro at Kotor is just gorgeous.

Finished with a week sailing around the Cristian islands of Brac, Hvar and Korkula.

Absolutely the best holiday I can imagine… it even beat the same group of us in Rwanda

Dubai & Nottingham

Best was probably one of the cheapest. I drove the kids to south of France for one of those £5 daily mail holidays one year when I was skint. We had a boot full of food from Asda and spent 3 weeks exploring the french and Spanish coastal towns and beaches with luxury camping at various Eurocamp and Keycamp. We stopped and camped in the Pyrenees on the way, visited Dalis house in Figueres, drove up the mountain to Andorra and the kids learned to speak french quite fluently by the end.

Had an awesome 3 week holiday in Germany near trier. That was a great cheap find on Airbnb. Went exploring into France and Strasbourg. Into Luxembourg and stopped in Ypres on the way home.

Great memories as my little girl was onky 6 months at the time

Ooh I’ve got a few for different reasons lol

But I’d say when I went to Kenya and saw all the animals and once done the Safari experiences, done the chilling by the beach

Also holidaying with a group of really good friends in the South of France was so good

Damn I miss a good holiday

Two week cruise to the Norwegian Ffjords with Fred Olsen. It was special as I went with my whole family. It had been my grampy's wish to go back to Norway as he had been sent there during the War (amongst other places) and it was quite an emotional experience for him.

The Ffjords were absolutely breathtaking.

Not necessarily the best but 1 I was most surprised by (not all about slots & gambling) was Las Vegas…. There was so much to do, skydiving seeing the Grand Canyon, pool parties in the daytime, shows in the evenings. Great holiday for variety . But there are so many places for so many reasons……

Back where I belong

I've been lucky enough to visit some amazing places and it's difficult to choose just one. There's the Gran Canaria holidays with fab friends, such a laugh and the 3 weeks in India staying with a friends mother. But the one that stands out the most was a 2 week touring holiday spent in Borneo.

Godalming

I took Becky to Cozumel in Mexico for our first holiday together.

Couple of weeks in a 5* beach hotel, south of the island.

Perfect company, weather, food, beach, diving and people.

It made our relationship even stronger.

Was couple of months before Covid hit and the memories have helped keep us going through it.

It’s totally worth it! Definitely go before they start going extinct .. (sadly)

They even had us (group of 3) have breakfast in the middle of the Savannah

I felt so blessed also animals in the wild are so beautiful!

Uganda is cheaper for gorillas but a little risky getting about

Antigua for us.

Stunning and relaxed atmosphere, the perfect place to relax.

We love it so much that we went out there to get married.

Solihull and Brentwood

New York which is a seriously wonderful city. But trying to drink/share about a 750ml of brandy and after check in, because I'm tight and didn't want to bin it.....and not get thrown off the flight for being d*unk at JFK. We also managed an upgrade to a suite on the 43rd. Floor of the Flaotel...Which was seriously cool. A month after Hurricane Sandy passed through.

Best though, South Africa: Stayed in a hotel in Durban for first week. Which was ok. But then moved up the coast for a week in a B&B in Umshlanga Rocks. Which was brilliant.

Almost like Torquay, but with troops of monkeys, early in the morning, foraging for food and playing silly buggers, on people's cars.

That’s off the coast of Africa on the Atlantic side right? I’ve always wondered if it’s nice!

Does a working holiday count? If it does then definitely Australia for me.

If not, I'd have to go for my first holiday abroad, in Turkey - Icmeler, very laid back and friendly people.

Tunisia.. I booked a sahara safari as they called it when I was there, went for two days and nights out on camel back, wrapped up like Laurence of Arabia, camping under the stars in the desert, it was so peaceful and tranquil, it's just a shame it was with my long forgotten ex
