But simply stating you like BDSM isn't likely going to be enough for you to peak someone's interest.

What kind of BDSM do you like? Pet play, are you masochistic seeking a sadist, or are you into electro stim?

How would any prospective Dom or top know if they were remotely compatible with you?

Ok so I'm not sure if you have looked before etc. But think about exactly what it is you want and what your limits are beforehand. Always easier to know them than get carried away in the heat of the moment.

Figure out also what it is you bring to the table. You are a sub not a doormat. You are allowed to have needs that you want met also.

I think saying you like BDSM is a bit of a sweeping statement, I’d research what aspects you enjoy or hope to experience - BDSM could be broken down as-

Bondage: Restricting a partner’s freedom of movement, for example, with ropes, handcuffs, or other restraints

Discipline: Agreed upon rules and punishments for a dominant partner to exert control over a submissive partner

Dominance: The act of showing dominance over a physical partner, either during sex or outside of the bedroom

Submission: The act of showing submission to the dominant partner's actions and wishes

Sadism and Masochism (or Sadomasochism): Pleasure that a partner may feel from either inflicting pain (sadism) or receiving pain (masochism), either physical or emotional

However there are a wide range of variations on the above and also combinations - some people use a safe word to determine when there partner should stop doing what they are doing others may use the traffic light system - it’s very much based on communication and trust between two individuals as naturally one person will take on a more dominant role - just because you like being a sub doesn’t mean you have to agree to everything or indeed that you will want to explore BDSM as a whole x

Educate yourself. Read books and articles. Learn the terminology. Immerse yourself.

People who live bdsm lifestyles usually really serious about it and as a result people who are less serious can be looked at like tourists or hobbiests.

There is nothing wrong with being a tourist or part timer. Just be aware of how others will perceive you

Looking at your profile pictures you have clearly met someone who has wetted your appetite. I would suggest (if possible stay with them). The usual advice is go to munches and events but from my experience, the kink scene is hard for single people and it is especially hard for submissive males looking for non pro domme mistresses.

The Mistresses that like to tie and flog in my experience are few

My understanding is that finding a mistress that a person matches with is really difficult. I have not many submissive occaisanal CDs so cannot speak to that. Once you have done the research as others have suggested then possibly trying femdom events and other events may be a start.

The research is even more important if you are looking for a master, there are matters you need to be aware. Possibly talk to other CD submissives, they may be able to advise you.
