August already two thirds of the year nearly over I was 60 Christmas just gone can't believe well on my way to 61.is it a cliche the older you get the faster it goes.Do you younger folk think the same

I remember on my 21st birthday, my father telling me that this was it. Life was gonna fly by from here on in. He was right. It's been 19 years since my 21st and it has flown past. Having kids and working away 6 months of the year has definitely added to the speed.

Yes the perception of time speeds up once you are older. By this time you are probably quite set in a routine and nothing much seems new. The brain flows on autopilot for most of the time now.

When I start a new book time seems like it is running slower as the brain needs to take in new information and is working to do so.

If everyone read a book at the same time maybe we can slow down time and stay younger for longer

It really has flown - apart from the global situation we've been trying to buy a house since April, sorting school's out, planning a small holiday and working extra shifts and I can't believe it's August already and I haven't any plans for my birthday yet and I need to get new school uniforms and......I'm just gonna have a small lie down.
