Anyone from the Southampton area here?

I’m heading there for a few days next weekend and I’m looking for ideas of things to do to keep me occupied. Thanks all.

Scunthorpe

I'm not from Southampton (obviously) but we're going down there end of the month.

There's loads to see and do, in and near Southampton, especially if you like history.

Have s look at the visit Southampton website.

Or message me and I will happily send you my, rather long, list... there's a card you can download for discounts as well.

Visit the maritime museum and art gallery at the civic centre.

Tour the old walls and Tudor House.

Look at the cruise ships.

Visit Beaulieu and or Bucklers Hard.

Eat at the old wool house.

Night out in Oxford Street.

Do the Titanic tour

Visit grave of Benny Hill at Hollybrook Cemetry

Pray in St Michaels our oldest medieval church

Eat the pie at The Red Lion High Street our oldest pub.

Try the South Indian cuisine at the restaurant in new road. Very authentic, hot, often vegetarian food.

Lunch at Mango in Canute Road

See what exciting new bands are in at The Joiners…

Watch a show at The Mayflower or even The Nuffield….

In its day the old and new dock were magnificent. Still looks impressive with end to end cruise ships.
