"Breadless, you are overlooking the purpose of the toast. To dip into a delicious Summer soup, toast only need the slightest firmness on it's surface and the depth of toastiness need only be discernable by the tounge and not the eye. To dip into a boiled egg the toast must be just past golden, almost a David Dickinson as it requires a certain firmness to withstand a buttering and a dipping. In order to support something as sturdy as a 100% prime beef quater pounder the toast should have the glow of a treacle toffee and the 'give' of a firm pillow used for humping throughout your teen years. " Soup and a sandwich or grilled cheese are amazing. David Dickinson Who used a pillow?

"My toaster misses the top of the bread and has a setting knob which goes between untoasted & burnt, without anything in between." People often mistake the general consensus on the toaster knob. It’s actually how long in minutes on most toasters that the bread stays in it for.

"Lightly toasted so about a 4... The question is though, do you leave it cool before buttering? " Hell no. That’s like putting your milk in first when making a cuppa. A punishable offence.

"How can we visualise the colour based on the number system, I think it’s flawed and it would be better if we had a picture as a reference point. " What about a Dulux colour chart, but for toast?

I'm loving some of the comments on that video, someone has put, "They should do an unplugged version, and call it Bread" " Years ago, I think it was Morphy Richards who had radio ads running for toasters with "golden brown" as the song. They completely missed the connotations! (I just tried posting this with the name of the band and got a big red pop-up message saying that I cannot post about such subjects)
