That's sounds good. I use a Jamie Oliver recipe which uses creme fraiche, cauliflower florets and parsley. The kids love it to

Add mustard powder to the cheese sauce. Add cherry tomatoes, brocoli, cauliflower and bacon.

I ended up putting chives, onion, garlic, mustard powder and a tiny bit of chilli in the sauce. Cheeses were cheddar and gruyère. It was a hit!

Lanarkshire

I crisp off some smoked bacon and break it up for the topping along with some wholemeal breadcrumbs and mature cheddar. I often throw some florets of Cauliflower in with the Macaroni too.

Dundee

I like to fry up a few rashers of bacon - get them nice and crispy... then get some nice white and spread with plenty of butter.

Then throw the mac and cheese in the bin cos its bogging and have a nice bacon sandwich instead
