Depends how many you smoke per day, when you have your first one of the day and what you find most difficult about quitting.

Ask if your GP has an advisor or at your loacl pharmacy if they are involved in a scheme. If they are trained they should be able to advise you which NRT will suit you best.

I found the tablets and overbearing parents worked a treat.

Usually have one first thing with a cuppa, dont find it difficult just see the point of smoking anymore

Oh and don't go for the 24hr patches. Most advisers may quickly mention that they 'may' cause you to have bad dreams.

Seriously fucking freaky stressful dreams they should say. I used them a few times when away at places with no smoking rooms.

The 16hr patches are fine though.

I did it with the patches via the Dr.

As i had to go back each week to get them it was kind of a back up to keep me going.

Never had dreams with them but ended up with burn marks from them.

Started smoking when i was 15 till 6 years ago. If i can do it anyone can.

Only down fall was the weight gain

E-cigs mate, ive been using one for nearly 2 months an havnt looked back! Still get the pleasure of smoking but with non of the bad side effects.

Groupon have got a boss deal on them, it runs out today, its £19.99 for the starter pack plus cartomisers that are the equivalent to nearly 700 cigarettes!

Good luck mate
