Why do you think people on here and other similar sites think it's ok to be so bad mannered and rude to others?

These people in normal life would never act like this, ignore messages from others or be so rude and offhand. but they seem to think this type of site gives them license to behave like this.....strange behaviour.

I'm guessing it's the freedom of anonymity?

Do you go round with your ass out in real life? No. People's behaviours online are different to real life.

I had an unbelievable rude reply from a couple who previously I’d seem to be on good terms with. They offered a glory hole and I asked for a meet. I received a laboured cruel reply instead of a no. However one can only wish they get sometime nice and scabby and itchy.

The site states very clearly that you should accept no response as 'not interested'. To look it from another angle, do you approach every company that sends you junk mail to tell them that you don't want to use their products?

If someone isn't interested then they are not obliged to reply, in fact, in many cases replying makes things worse.

It may not be percieved that well by you, but I'm afraid there is little you can do about it.

It's literally in the site rules that no reply means no interest. I sent a polite reply declining interest to somebody last night and got a stream of messages in response telling me why that was the wrong decision. Why should I have to put up with that just to soothe your need for attention?

All very non descript and very non specific.

It's not anonymity. It's YOU.

You interpreted their behaviour. You decided to take offence. You decided to be butt hurt.

You shouldn't and it shows why so many ignore messages when they're not interested. I think some people's perceptions of what this site is, and the type of people on it, are so far from reality. Maybe they assume this is like the porn they watch and people just get it on with everyone. Real life v fantasy life perceptions.

Life on here is different to real life. As posters on here have stated a non reply should be taken as a not interested response. At first I thought no response was a little rude, but now I just think well saves wasting time. In real life if someone said to me whilst out good morning I would think it extremely rude not to respond in kind.

Unsolicited messages have not any realistic expectations of 100% response, so you may want to adjust your expectations accordingly, as well as read the site terms that you accept here. It's antisocial to think otherwise - you have to accept the social terms here or be in perpetual indignation etc.

Most people are not compatible with most other people. Thus chats underway will reach a dead end most of the time - you have to understanding preferences and the real world.

Non replying isn’t rude it’s just a fact of life on here and one of the joys (lol) of being a single guy profile

But when you take into account how many messages the single ladies and couples must get from us guys you soon realise that if they did reply to us all they wouldn’t have time to actually meet any of us ?

So just take a non reply as a no thank you

Someone not relying doesn't make them bad mannered or rude.

This is a swinging site not real life. If someone said hello to me in the street I would say hello back. They wouldn't take a reply as " I'll f*ck you."

My question is ' why are so many men still expecting a reply to every message they send and being entitled?"

If you don't like it don't use a site where men are vastly outnumbered.

Many would find their experience of the site a lot better if they took the time to read and understand them

Aren't all messages on here unsolicited? I've never yet received a message in here or elsewhere that I've asked for unless I've put message me on my status which I rarely do

You can build a rapport through the forums. Those messages, regarding subjects other than wanting to get in your vag don't feel unsolicited at all.

I've told certain people my inbox is open for them, therefore messages they send off the back of that are indeed not.

This!! I get far too many messages I simply do not have the time to reply to them. I’m not rude, I’m just busy. Majority of women on this site are in the same boat due to the fact there is more men than women on here. I find it much more rude that you think you’re entitled to a response. A response shows interest. You’re basically expecting everyone you message must be interested back which unfortunately real life or the internet isn’t how it works.

My status was ignored by two straight guys last night, who messaged me. Both blocked and their messages deleted without being read.

Why are you surprised that people have bad manners?

I hate all humans but I love people.

There is a great song title called People=shit.

Unfortunately not everybody is taught etiquettes, equality, ethical and manners.

So paint the world the same brush and when nice people come along drag them close, with the rest of them sit back and watch them burn. Don't waste your energy don't amuse them don't acknowledge them because it's not worth your time or energy.
