So we've seen lots of posts on how far people would travel.

But when is it too close for comfort?

Same town? Same county? Or does it not bother you at all?

My town is really quite small. And I struggle with the idea of anyone local.

So far my most local meet has been 45 miles. But he happened to be this way and actually lives over 200 miles away

Normally I wouldn’t I don’t want potential issue so easier when they live further away. But we met off of fab though bothe on here and after a few chats decided fuck it.

I’d rather people further away though nearby has its perks!!

Bumping into them again wouldn't bother me, my meets are usually long term-ish anyway and become friends, staying friends when sex meets have stopped. It bothers me more that someone recognises me off here and I don't know they know. If that makes sense

I've had a convo where we were like within half a mile. We both said this is a bit too close isn't it.

I've blocked people I recognise from the pub or seeing on nights out.

I like to keep fab separate and not bump into meets in the supermarket in my shorts and bedhead. So I do prefer some distance. Other side of town or preferably a bit away.

This really. I’ve had a couple of very local fb’s (within a mile) and loved it. Sadly both have moved away now and I haven’t had enough of a connection with anyone very local to replace them as yet.

However - I’ve found a couple of great guys about 45 mins away - which is still great!

I accidentally bumped into and was messaging my neighbours across the road couples profile was all going well until face pics where sent and the penny dropped hahaha! From that point on even the real life small talk seemed awkward.

When I joined Fab my preference was local but reading stories of meets gone wrong made me rethink. Now over 20 miles but under 60 would be an ideal.

Or you start a new job and they work there? Or something like that where you could possibly bump into each other.

This seems a little bit like rolling the dice. It may work out, but then you may get someone who's completely Helter Skelter. One poor lady on another thread was just outed to her parents by someone on here. The suspicion is that it was someone local to her. Not everyone has the maturity we'd all hope and like to assume.

I've had a man randomly turn up at my door that I've never met who saw me on here and decided I'd be up for a fuck (turns out he is a delivery driver for someone, still not sure who).

I've had a Facebook smear campaign by the wife of someone who is on here (she still doesn't actually know he is on here, as he said his brother found me when he showed her my profile) because apparently I'm a slut for liking sex.

My sister was asked if I was a hooker.

Discretion locally is not a thing.

I'm not ashamed of being on fab and quite frankly screw it, hence why my face is back public. But I'd also rather not have local people telling everyone what a shit shag I am. Far away people can find that out instead.

I work in a public service department.

Once a couple turned up who I knew and met up. I'm.not going to lie my heart sank. I was only saved as my face was covered with my mask and I quickly removed myself from the spot.

Also.someone.some how found out where I.worked and would keep asking the operator to put them through to me.

I always preferred to meet people a lot further away, a few county's or so although one county was okay. It doesn't matter now as I'm not meeting anymore although I do wish my friends were closer when we want a cuppa and catch up
