don't they come useful

I have a complicated bookcase to put together. Not attempting this with my patience level. It's for the kids after all.

I love it now, especially if you ensure you’ve separated everything into different boxes so you can easily find the right screws etc…

The actual building process is a lot easier after that.

I’d happily do it for money and endless cups of black coffee

I am actually, and I enjoy it. My friend recently bought some new tables for her cafe, and I was happy to go and put them together for her in exchange for food and a constant supply of tea

I'm great at it! I also make a point of sending all the leftover fastenings and over spare pieces back to the manufacturer telling them that they could save money on the product as they aren't needed. Anyway, flat-pack furniture is a waste of money as it never stays together for long... Well mine doesn't

And a ratchet screwdriver is invaluable unless you have the hands of a capuchin

I call it suppository furniture.... As you have to put it up yourself....

But I have to admit I have to get all bits out in order.... Count each item, read instructions.... Then still get one bit wrong.

Usually instructions don't correlate with the actual item!

Flat pack furniture is generally pretty simple.

I’ve started making furniture from scratch which is more of a challenge.

No need for instructions at best of times unless its something ive not come across.

Then its a quick scan to check build info and build from there.

Though unlike your bought item I would build it from wood itself.

I like being called a weirdo. But I think it’s a man thing. Us Man experts know better than the makers of the flat pack so we don’t need to read the instructions that’s why I end up building it twice. Lol

Yep. Always. I love it.

My ex used to take over and decide he was doing it, then would get to the first screw, throw something across the room and storm out.

Would have been easier to just let me do it
