Eat better and exercise more!!

All comes down to routine, planning and sticking to it.

I too fell victim i put 2 stone on and lost my abs completely.ive struggled like mad to loose it at the gym daily for the past 3 month....

Last week Ive caught covid, this week my abs are showing again with the amount of weight ive lost.

Top weightloss tip - get covid.

Disclaimer-

Dont get covid its horrible! Although we have to take a positive hey!

Exercise and smaller portion sizes. We are both a lot slimmer than a year ago!

Thanks for the tips… yeah I think getting Covid would be my least favourite way to lose weight!

I’ve considered skipping meals, but is this a good solution?!

I think it’s breakfast that stumps me…. What’s a good breakfast to keep you full but is healthy?!

Porridge,

Try a vegan protein shake (my protein pinapple one is like fruit juice so keeps you full and hydrated)

Reduce portion sizes (shrinks your stomach)

Load up with veg, cut the carbs and sugar,

Dont drink on weekdays.

Remember dont go clean eating crazy, youll set your diet up for disaster

Thank you!

For the porridge, is semi skimmed milk ok? I’ve tried with water but it’s too yuck!

Started reducing my portion sizes. I also read drinking lots of water is good, especially after dinner to stop snacking (love crisps!!)

Personally I wouldn’t do anything too extreme. Make very small changes at first, for example swapping a chocolate bar for a banana. Or if you order a takeaway try making that dish. You might crash if you do it too extreme… good luck

Thanks for the tips… I think that personally for me, portion sizes and having willpower is key.

That, and not to be negative about the weight gained…the positive is I can now lift heavier weights at the gym!!

Yeh perfectly stick some blueberrys in, blackcurrents ect . The keys is reducing intake portions especially with main meals.

Again with snacks, its habit, im terrible for cadburys buttons id have a share bag every night then i have to just say no, and stop buying them and basically cold turkey it. After a week i get no cravings... untill my mum comes round with a bag for me

It really comes down to eating less calories and/or burning more calories

So you can go super militant and track all your food and weigh yourself daily to get an idea of how much you need to eat to lose weight

This guarantees weight loss. But it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it’s not a life style many people want to embrace

Or you can just try to make better choices. Eat smaller portions, eat less junk, focus on volume food.

Volume food is food that keeps you full for low calories. Fruits, vegetables, lower calorie shacks etc.

And on top of that, just try to be a little more active. Go for a walk. Take the stairs.

This won’t guarantee results, but it’s a much mote sustainable life style

I’m a total fatty however I’ve managed to grow a expected over 9lb baby plus all the extra joyous things that come with pregnancy and only gain 2lb. I had to change my diet completely due to gestational diabetes and really thinking about what I’m putting in my body. The midwifes expect me to come out of pregnancy at least a stone and a half less than I went into it.

There are some things I won’t continue but other things I will on the GD diet such as food pairing. Reducing sugar. Plenty of water. Low GI foods. Portion control. Weirdly the thing I can’t wait to have when I’m allowed to after birth is a huge fruit platter . But again it’s taught me a lot about not just aiming for low fat all the time as they are usually full of sugar.

For me calorie counting as without a set target, I'm pants at sticking to diets... Put weight on last year then dieted this year after Xmas cheese was finished... Used myfitnesspal for counting and stuck religiously to it. Cut out bread, butter, and reduced rice and pots, loads of veg and salad, and porridge!

I think weight loss works differently for different people.

Check your blood sugar level and if it's slightly elevated try cutting down on carbs. Porridge is often recommend as a good thing but if you've got higher blood sugar it'll put it even higher.

A good breakfast is eggs with wholemeal toast, that'll keep you going

Well to add to mine, if possible walk to the shops you’ll be surprised how much walking burns! Even if it’s just a walk there to get your fruit. You don’t have to do the full shop

Why not sign up to a challenge for a charity, I recently completed a 1 million steps challenge for diabetes Uk and you would be amazed how much walking can help, swap fatty snacks for the likes of fruit or nuts and drink plenty water, small changes make a big difference xx

Exercise, exercise..the poor man's diet working for me. Cut my meals to twice a day to save money. Choose two of my three meals a day, usually breakfast as I train most days and then dinner. If you can pick it or kill them eat it.

Don’t skip meals, you need to keep your metabolism going.

Breakfast is porridge, proper porridge not the sachets, maybe add some honey to sweeten, I do it’s yummy along with sultanas and cranberries and a glass of orange juice.

Maybe just try cutting down your portion sizes or add a bit more exercise into each day, just burn off more than you consume

Op, look at your palm. Eat meat in a no greater size to your palm.

I Eat in the ratio of 3-5 veg to 1 portion of meat.

Hope that helps!

I've lost 20lbs in the last few months just eating less and moving more. If you're overweight it is pretty easy if you are in the right mindset to stick with it and be strict.

If you're not carrying much weight then you just have to really work your butt off and look at what you're eating.

It's much easier said than done sadly.

Alcohol is awful! If I have a few glasses I'll bloat quite badly and go up 4 or 5 pounds overnight. If you're drinking it often it will definitely be adding the weight onto you.

Good luck! You'll smash it. X

Yeah I think that also beer is the worst for calories too! I’ll definitely cut down, lift more weights and hopefully I’ll become more attractive in the process!

I’ve never dieted in my life and I eat more than Will on a daily basis, I have a terrible sweet tooth, so I think metabolism and genes play a big role and of course everyone’s different you need to find what works for you and be happy with it or I’d imagine you will revert back to eating/drinking habits that don’t suit you. They also say a lot of the time when you think your hungry your not you thirsty so maybe try a glass of water before reaching for snacks.

Just remember something made you put on weight in the past , something made you lose weight for 5 years , it’ tends to correspond with feeling bad and low and then feel feeling good, secure, attractive etc. We’re all gonna get depressed and feel shit sine tunes and the diet will fuck right off then

Good luck though, I’m sure you looked great before too
