"Guys... you made me laugh but you are not helping! " Soz I'm no good either. I'm doing a cipd apprenticeship and am always leaving things to the last minute! I'm going to start using a cleaning technique I've seen on tiktok and set a 15 min timer and make myself eotk for those 15 minutes then have a break.

"I will start thinking about this tomorrow and might give you my answer later in the week if that is OK." That's again funny ... but I cannot afford to wait - I need an answer asap

" I could adopt that and set myself a few windows during which I do nothing but read the stuff I am supposed to read (and understand!) Thanks

"I tend to set an achievable task.. and then set a reward for completing. Eg finish a work report.. allow myself to look at fab for 10 mins.. " Reward system... sounds also like a good idea. Not sure I could stick to just 10 minutes but it is worth a try. Thanks

"On a serious note OP: I have generally found that I “learn” best if I try to “teach” the subject matter to someone else. That someone else could just be to myself in my head. If I can explain a concept then I know I understand it. Rather than try to do rote learning (which everyone hates) why don’t you redefine what revision is and make it a little more interesting. That tends to remove my desire to procrastinate on things." I need to find somebody who is willing to listen but also that is a good idea in terms of retaining the stuff. Thanks

"Learn one important thing per day. The more you remember the more you want to learn, per day. Works wonders for me" Chopping it up into various chunks - that would definitely help as at the moment it is one big amorphous mass of stuff and I cannot see clearly where to go next. Thanks

"Don't over think it revising once a day for an hour x should be plenty enough x" Maybe I am trying to hard - I was going to do three hours but I am not sure if my brain is not going to be fried after just one. Good point! Thanks

"Study for 10 minutes at a time then do something else, can easily get an hour study in during the day and also easier to complete in short bursts!" Good idea, too - mind you I think I might try the hour slot first. If that does not work, I ll try the shorter bursts - thanks

If I get stuck then I start the “lecture” again. You can do this without anyone else.

I now have to log off because I have been reminded, in the nicest possible way, that right now.... I should be studying not posting about random things!

"Sorry Suggest planning your day, breaking it into different sections, including breaks +food times using a timer to. Keep you on plan Give yourself motivational treats ... Ie, do three hours and then let yourself have, say, a kit kat.. Whatever works for you also plan some meditation / walking downtime.. Some yoga flow in the morning and set your intention - made a pledge to yourself And then.. Deep breath... Turn off your internet . Turn off your phone " Love it... first think I picked up when reading ...was the kitkat! Seriously, also good advice. Thanks

"Leave all your phones etc in a different room.. then you'll have to consciously make an effort to look at them. " I'd definitely second this. I'd also switch all notifications off, especially if you have wearables. I have a book called "End Procrastination Now"; it's still in a drawer somewhere. You have to love the irony
