St. Ives

An earlier thread was 'who is the weirdest band you've seen' .. So following on from that.. Now festivals and gigs are slowly coming back, who are you looking forward to seeing in the next year or so...

Me? The Music next June..

Strange thing is, at the end of 2019 I had decided to cut down on the gigs though I had 6 booked up to May 2020; then the pandemic hit and 4 were cancelled. At that point I wasn't too bothered but over a year on I am really missing getting out to gigs and the atmosphere, so I have been busy!

Tickets I have bought in the last couple of weeks - The Hot Damn in August, Haxan, Blaze Bailey, Gin Annie, Thundermother, Control the Storm in September, Massive, Skarlett riot in November, Dust Coda in December. When I can get to the Academy box office I will be booking Life of Agony, Ward XVI, Blaze Bailey [again], Inglorious and possibly Joanne Shaw Taylor and Wayward sons. Already have 8 lined up for 2022.

Stockport

First is Jane Weaver, that's November. Then in January: Tricky, Jarvis, Porridge Radio, Bdrmm, Working Men's Club and ACR. April is Killing Joke.

Tempted by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis at the Bridgewater in September but the tickets are a little pricey.

Not arranged yet. I've had a little look but nothing floating my boat yet apart from next year's festivals.

There and to the left a bit

Madness weekend at Butlins in November - then seeing them (with Squeeze as support) in December.

Next year I have Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer on the same bill in June and The Beat in July and there will possibly be others too

Funnily enough The Coral are supporting The Music in June. It's an all day festival at Temple Newsom in Leeds.
