Swinging for over 50s

Why is it that so many many people's profiles are looking for under 50s? I may be 53 but I'm not obsolete.

Rather than looking at it negatively though, why not try and look at it the other way? I just did a search for women 34-64 (my preferred age range) within 15-20 miles of Bicester who would meet someone my age (which is older than yours OP) and got 160 results - if you take "would meet my age" out you get about 300 results - so over 50% would potentially meet you based on age.
