I am reminded that Love is?

There I am, on my hands and knees finishing off the ing in the garden.

Thoughts drift to how much my late husband loved his garden!

I hope he heard my thoughts....I thanked him for loving me. Even when I didn’t like myself, let alone love myself.

I am also reminded, to let those I love not forget it!

What has love meant to you?

I can't offer anything other than the usual, kids, family, friends, but have to say OP; that was beautiful.

Love is Mr KC looking after me, completely without complaint; changing his job and taking on most domestic tasks as a result of my disability. In the final five weeks of my pregnancy, I lived in bed and I wasn't much better in the weeks after. I didn't go downstairs other than to drag my sorry arse to hospital appointments so he brought all my meals upstairs, helped me wash etc.

He's always been there, supporting me all the way. He's also a wonderful father, having taken on the responsibility of my son when he was 17. I Mr KC

I hope you are feeling okay, Annabelle *hugs*

La la land

Love has had many guises for me in life. There is my best mate who rises me up when I need it, with random messages saying she loves me. There are the two men who told me I was good enough and go do what I love. My uncle who I simply adore, he's the father I wish I had. Love is cwtshing into my kids I will never tire of smelling their hair

Beautiful I hope he heard you too.

Love to me is unconditional, giving and not expecting....It means accepting someone with all of their flaws and not trying to change them or mould them. Celebrating their success as well as supporting them through tough times....Being that persons cheerleader...Love just is....imperfectly perfect.

Love to me was being a team with my husband. Accepting a person for who they are. He loved me and I loved him, ups and downs included.

Love to me now is an ache. Love evades me.

I love my kids dearly, but every special event that passes I wish that he could see them, and it makes me endlessly sad that he can’t see them grow up, and they have to grow up without their daddy in their lives.

Love can hurt

Beautiful words OP. Several close relatives including my Dad have been cremated and we’ve always planted something in their memory -new life and new growth for our memories of lost loved ones.

You and your husband were very lucky to find and love each other so. xx

Can I ask you to put a warning before posting a thread like that? The forums are for complaining, arguing and occasionally flirting. They are absolutely not supposed to give me that weird tingling pressure feeling in my eyes.

Love has given me some of the happiest as well as the hardest darkest days of my life. Love now is happiness, contentment and feeling safe.

Love is unexplainable, it’s a feeling, like a heartbeat, a rush of blood, passion, desire, contentment, friendship and laughter all rolled into one, in its purest of forms it is the single most beautiful thing anyone can experience. I’m glad that in your lifetime you got to feel that OP x

Love can be all conquering when reciprocated... It gives you the why so you can bear any how, it turns the darkest of days into into the bluest of sky's with the promise of a brighter tomorrow together.

It frightens some but makes life worth living for others, its paradoxical as it breaks hearts but can also rebuild them if you allow yourself to trust in another's words.

The love for the one's that have passed however never diminishes but can be the gift of pain that keeps on giving...

Its been just 12 months last week since my sons suicide and yesterday a friend of his sent me a very brief recording of his voice that broke me. True love can be happy memories of days that have gone or wishing you could pay that ultimate price instead of them and save their pain.

We are all different and I can understand some that would rather guard their hearts in defence, but for the right one I still say we're not living a rehearsal and when it feels right then its worth a go as tomorrow maybe to late.

Not a touch on some of the sadness and the love that's felt here and although I don't know any of you, I feel love for you as empathy...

The only true love i feel i really know brings both happiness and sadness, each in turn often compounding the other and that being of my kids... to see them when I can and when the minutes race past but each moment a stitch in time and that of happy love but then the sane of love when that time has slipped by and they need go home to their mum. Two faces of love and such extreme contradictions in feeling.

Big love to you special people though x
