I don’t think you should concern yourself with the opinions of others, if you want to wear a maxi dress out, then wear a maxi dress out, I think the self conscious feeling will fade and you will feel liberated and wished you had done it sooner.

I spent all of my 20s hiding in leggings and oversized tops. It’s only in recent years I’ve learnt to embrace my figure a little more (I’m a size 18 and short) and actually wear what I want, including dresses. Just wear it, you won’t regret it, I promise.

I almost exclusively wear dresses (with or without underwear

) for work and pleasure. I just feel more comfortable. I feel like a bundle of shit tied up in the middle of I wear trousers and a top.

And for those who suffer the dreaded chub rub.....little angels liquid talc from asda is a god send!

What's liquid talc or is the clue in the title...

It’s amazing!!! It’s like a cream rub goes on dry - I used it on my kids when they were little but great for “chub rub” too
