Scientists have looked at ice core samples from a Tibet melting glacier have discovered viruses intact that are over 15,000 years old and described as, "never previously catalogued and unlike any other virus". How dangerous will these new viruses be to mankind?

They will toss it out the window once they're bored of it. Let nature take its course

I've seen enough sci-fi films to know to leave them buried and not to touch.

About half of them survived due to the ice is what it actually says. It doesn't say they are all alive.

I have red about five articles.. my take is that these are alive. It even says that microscopic worms survived 24000 years locked into the ice .

Viruses aren't alive. They are obligate intracellular parasitic particles. In the same way that prion proteins aren't alive but can make a mess

I don't trust these buggers...

These scientists should back off.

More interested in punlishing a paper than saving is from these evil buggers released from the ice
