Not at all. Real people aren't magazine cover perfect, we all have something about ourselves that makes us self conscious to a degree, I've never seen a scar and thought 'what a turn off' I usually think wow, this person went through something and survived. Mrs.

From my experience, no. I have a scar of the left side of my body from when I had open heart surgery when I was 6 and I don't remember any ladies I've met being put off by my scar or even notice it lol.

Every scar is evidence of an adventure. I think everyone would prefer to be around scarred and interesting people than flawless mannequins

I’d say generally no I’ve lots mostly covered by ink and my beard they’re not really life altering and I’m not embarrassed about them. But they came with trauma I sometimes don’t need reminding of. People I’m close to or have been know of them and how it happened.

It wouldn’t bother us one bit if a lady had scars, the way I see it is they’re visual pages of your diary! I have many scars from having children, and from life’s adventures. Plenty of stories to be told! Miss PC

I'm not put off by them I have some pretty big scars myself from ops I had in the past .If someone doesn't like them there is nothing I can do about it so they can move on But so far no one has ever commented negatively about them .

No, not at all. Scars are part of us and show the life we have lived.

This lady is not put off by scars and frankly if anyone rejects another because they have scars, then they're not worth the time of day. My FWB and I had this discussion last night. He's an amputee and he has quite severe scarring on his stump. He thinks it's unsightly and would put people off, so we had a chat about that..... Why would some tough, uneven, purpley coloured skin put me or anyone else off?! I don't get it!

"Are women put off bye scars?"

Nope.

I'm not that shallow a person who seeks airbrushed perfection,

I prefer real people who have lived some life, their story etched on their skin like a road map of who they are and where they have been.

And I'm a realist... bodies age, take knocks, need repairing sometimes and bounce back.

Ain't nothing wrong with scars in my view.

somewhere nice

I’ve got a scar on my pubic area from a hernia operation in my 20’s. I hate the scar, so it’s now covered with a butterfly tattoo. No one knows about the scar and it’s not visible

Other people’s don’t bother me, my own does!

I had 8 hours of tattooing to try to cover mine. That was a long and painful day!

I have scars which totally bother me. Especially when the areas get a tan.

Not one lover has ever commented on them since getting them leading me to believe it's in my head.

Other peoples don't bother me at all.

People can be so awesome.

Im heavily scarred after breast cancer treatments, mastectomy and reconstruction and self conscious of it.

Someone recently told me scars are just a personal map of your life story and I love that.

I life without scars is a life not lived. They are permanent reminders that you fought the good fight and survived.

Cheshire, Windermere ,Cumbria

Not put off at and never come across anybody that is, I’ve got a huge one side and back from heart surgery at age 3 so it’s grown with me and they didn’t do anything pretty back in that day, it’s never bothered me and never will, without it I wouldn’t be here, some people ask about it, some people say they don’t notice it but nobody’s ever said they are put off by it

The South

M has more scars than anyone I've ever met. Some are small, some are old and "healed", barely noticeable.

Everyone is a story and I lived hearing the story's behind them.

The mental scars he carrys are a different story altogether.

Not at all... I see scars as our own unique personal markings & every scar tells a story... I have an elective lower abdomen C-section scar but I actually call it my smile as it is shaped that way...I was very conscious of it for many years but I've learned to embrace it
