Just wondered do the teachers on here get a lot more time to play in the summer, and try to make use of it?

Yes they do. They get six weeks day and night and they fuck like bunnies and they do nothing else. I heard tell that all the teachers on here took a week off sick to mark all the books so they could have extra fuck time in the holidays.

It's only 5 weeks now but, yeah, that's what we do. All fucking and let the kids teach themselves when they come back. You've been spying in the staff room I can tell.

Not everyone who works in education gets long summer hols. We both work in education and it's currently the busiest time of the year. We get either 25 (Mr) or 30 (Mrs) days hol per year, to be used when our respective roles allow. We struggle to have two weeks a year overlapping and that's only going to be harder with our daughter starting compulsory education.

So no, we have even less time now than any other time of year

I’m in for two weeks of the holiday. Labelling books, sorting displays out and photocopying resources for the first couple of weeks and some planning. Some of my colleagues are in even longer. If only we had six weeks off us teaching staff certainly deserve every minute.

Yes I take 6 weeks. Minus the odd day or two of work. Does that mean I'm busier come September, yes. But I'd rather than and have an actual break to rest and recharge now.
