house hunting stress

Why is it all so stressful Im looking for a small bed terrace but they go so quickly or the deposits are huge grrrrr. My current house is falling apart my landlord doesnt care and i have had no cooker for 3 days with no idea of when i can cook a hot meal for myself so have decided to move but cant find anywhere. Rant over

that made me smile just been told my landlord they will send someone out in next week to look at cooker and decide if they will replace it then that could take a couple of weeks

I would say that is unacceptable. I would phone them back and ask them to get someone round today.

I would agree. Your local Council may be able to help you. They usually have a standards team who ensure minimum standards are met in rented properties. I'd say leaving you without cooking facilities,if that's the landlord's responsibility (which clearly it is) may be something they consider unacceptable. May be worth a call to see what they advise.

I can find out when i speak to jay as he has rented furnished properties that he lets out, he has a letting agent to deal with everything. But i will ask him when i speak to him

thanks every one for your help i have insisted something gets sorted today but seeing as they left me for 7 months with a leaking water tank and mould growing they arent in any hurry to sort anything well they wont be getting any rent on mondayat this rate

Lol Im trying to leave here im looking at the otherside of birmingham as its cheaper and nearer to him (who must be obeyed) Going to see a house on friday at 1 so fingers crossed for me folks just need to get out of here as i still have 2 months left on contract but they have breached so i should be able to get out
