Envy feelings towards couples

Okay I’m not sure why I’m making this post, but I went for dinner with friends yesterday in central London, and was so good to see so many people out and about. All good till I started seeing so many couples being happy and holding hands and that’s when I started to withdraw and get some bittersweet/envy feelings.

I love fab and shagging about but sometimes I do miss that synergy that some couple seem to have together …. Do you get what I mean?

Entering more into depth within me and I felt sad and spiralled to negative thoughts “nobody will ever want to hold your hand out in public like that , and you won’t ever have that kind of relationship because of you who you are…”

Needless to say, I was on the cusp of crying a few times… maybe cos I’ve started to add new hormones (progesterone) is swinging my emotional side up and down

Sorry to bring the mood down, my point is..

do you ever get couple jealousy (jealous of couples who seem so in love)? Or how some people seem to be SOOO good together? Or do you ever get a bit envious of the young love and people who fall in love? (It’s such a feeling that I miss but I’m also terrified to death about it cos it leaves you broken if it goes wrong)

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy being single at the moment as I need time to cocoon myself. But still watching that sometimes it triggers certain thoughts or feelings in me… strange. Hope I’m not the only weirdo on this forum lol

Yes, I get it all the time. I'm happy for them, just sad that I have been so unlucky.

You're not weird!

Don’t get me wrong I don’t resent them at all. It just triggers me thinking I’m damaged goods and that I won’t ever achieve that lol

Or that I’ve been unlucky in the past.

Glad I’m not alone tho xx

Haha I don’t know I guess it’s because I can find sex so easy, so it doesn’t have magic in it.

While i see the bond shared with some couples to be almost the pinnacle of it all. But it’s because I feel guys want to sleep with me but don’t want to date me x x

Haha even if I found the guy who is happy to share I’d like to share a special bond with him obviously x

I don't get envious. I believe humans aren't designed to be together forever with the same person. I realised that early on in life and I've been on this earth long enough to see so many couples, who once seemed strong, part ways q few years down the line. I've also seen many couples stay together more out of convenience then the joy they get from eachother.

The honeymoon period is great though

Kind off know whare your comeing from but it’s also a good thing as well

As when I am on normal dates and stuff sex isn’t on my mind as it’s pretty much ready available to me so I more look in depth about the person I am on the date with

I also realise that I mean I’ve got a list of failed relationships lol and I come from a family who ended up divorcing early on. So I know, I guess I really miss or am envious of the feelings of the honeymoon period and that makes me trigger insecurities about myself.

Also fucking hormones lol

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I don't get envious of couples in love, but there is certainly an element sometimes, especially when you see people who seem made for each other, of "I wish".

I'm hopeful that it isn't too late for me.

Just as many of the couples are looking at singles and envying then their freedom. We humans are just contrary beings.

I do sometimes. I miss that “me and you against the world” feeling. But I also know that LTRs don’t work for me. I get bored and antsy and lose my libido in a LTR. I also have no desire to do any domestic chores for a man ever again

Hahah so true on what you said last.

I guess when you see someone and they are out, you just see a very small fraction of what the relationship is like.

Haha I guess I am that sad bitch who just wants a guy to hold her while out (what am I 14 lol!!)
