Teaching is a rare skill. I could easily enthuse somebody who's basically an autodidact and already capable of learning and just needs some encouragement from somebody farther along.

Teaching somebody the basics from a start point of nothing, nope. Teaching somebody who it's obvious will never have the native talent for what they want to do, nope.

This is why teaching isn't my profession

It's easy.

But I've tried to write the instructions down twice now and confused myself

It's one of those things where it's easier to do than to say.

It's easier if the duvet cover is inside out though to begin with and you match the corners of the duvet with the duvet cover, then turn the duvet the right way round which puts the duvet inside and just shake before doing to fastenings up.

Yeah, definitely easier to do than say

"Sewing

Ironing

How to put a duvet cover on a king sized duvet in seven and a half seconds flat...

Useful stuff, you know

God I need the duvet cover skill, I usually end up sweating and inside the thing! One of my most hated tasks x

Haha I’m copying this and adding to my notes on my phone…I will report back lol xx

I'm really chuffed to have helped with something. That's made my day that has "

That’s so lovely, thanks again x

"Learnt the Morse code in the R.N. no good on civvy street "

Useful for identifying all sorts of navaid beacons or reading my shaky fist on the bands!

If you are talking about lamp signalling, I take my hat off to you. Totally different mental process from the audible one. Knowing the code is one thing, reading it without translating is an entirely different skill.

Might one day be useful in civvy street when all the internet and cellular phone infrastructure fails. CU then OM HI!

I took a house into stock where sadly, the old lady died. I found in the attic an unfinished tapestry hung on its proper mahogany frame for doing the job, complete with the different colour wool hanging in a bag. I hadn't have the heart to throw it out! If anyone thinks they can finish it, give me a shout.

"What skill or talent do you have that you could teach others?"

I already teach others with the building trade.

Im able to do many jobs in the trade that ive taught so many how to do the job.

last 2 was pure learners never done it before and they got to enjoy the job.

I also mig and arc weld as well as fix cars just give a set of tools away to a leaner motor machanic.

Ive also learnt someone how to use the lathe and miling machine.

Though the metal hand shaper is easy enough to learn so simple a child can be taught how to use it.
