We've all seen the comments about 'high end products', but out of the normal supermarket stuff, what do you like..lynx, brut, old spice etc.

I’m not a fan of any of those. One that’s nice and usually in supermarkets is “Davidoff cool water” which is about £15-ish or Joop that’s a popular affordable fragrance at a similar price

Dunno if you can still get it but I started my shaving life with Blue Stratos because I thought it smelled much classier than Brut.

I like Old Spice . Some of the cheaper products smell really nice, they just don't have the staying power of the more expensive ones.

My cheapish ones are Boss intense, Dior Homme

Unfortunately the sport or summer fragrances only last a few mins on me which is a shame as they are really fresh.

I have to be very careful on deodorants / aftershaves . This includes female perfumes. Some of these can set of my “ hay fever allergy” .

Years ago a female who was at that time girlfriend of one of my friends , used one that set me off. So stopped using if she knew I was going to be meeting them . I pissed her off one night as so did a few others for her attitude etc. She emptied bottle of said perfume over my head. I was off work for three days.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

I don't buy supermarket stuff as it seems to irritate my skin.

I'd buy Chanel for men (quite mild), or Issay Miyake.

I do like Paul Smith's aftershave - lovely smell but sadly brings me out in a rash? Holy crap on a cracker! Grrrr.

Paco Rabanne 1 Million for special occaisions..... That seems ok!

Superdrug do a range called Artiscent Atelier for men and women that are dupes of high end stuff and you'll easily get 5-6 hrs from them.

There's a pharmacy only brand called Verset that do a great range of dupes as well and an online company called the Essence vault. I've used a whole range of dupes over the last year. I didn't like Cool Water at all before but it has really grown on me and the Essence Vault dupe for Neroli Potafino is amazing and very different from the norm.

Lynx makes me pressure, use mitchum or forever living. I have four or five aftershaves, varying price range and I like them all. My go to at the moment is Boss aftershave balm

Splash the cash and buy a decent aftershave. I'm sure it contains all that "sciencey" stuff that attracts the opposite (or same) sex. I might not notice a pretty face in the street or bar but I'll definitely notice the smell.

Some of the Primark fragrances are really good, and also very cheap, but they don't last very long. Although saying that my body chemistry seems to make short work of most fragrances and I have to reapply after a couple of hours anyway.

Try pure Arabic oils you buy on markets like sandalwood, opium. They last days, change over time as you wear them and are better value than brands. Try a few, You will find ones that really suit your character and stop following the crowd / fashion
