it is generally only possible to reach a far off audience if one has a large enough swing (at it)

those are the best looking connections

they tend to go far and achieve important things

those ones we may even want on record

for our own future viewing and those of others

Then there are the deflections

that come off the edges of the bat

(Do such bats have edges?)

sometimes unintentional

and which too may fall into the hands of a neighbouring audience

but those who will be much closer to hand

Though in baseball if that ball lands in a non-participating lap it's seen as a good thing.

Hands are also useful among those audience members.
