Stalkers/Weirdos in public

I’ve been seeing a few people mention that they have had awkward encounters with people who have recognised them from here.

I’ve had a couple of awkward situations that have made me feel uncomfortable, as it was a male from a couple I had met up with before and ended up following me while with my friends to a few different bars.

How have you dealt with this, also how have you felt when this has happened?

Also, if you’re one of those weirdos/stalkers, get a life!

The Town by The Cross

Years ago ( not on this site ) A bloke I spoke to but wouldn't meet told me openly about his place of work. ( a tennis centre )

I had a legitimate reason to visit on business and read the public info display boards for his name and picture.

It was weird watching him work and then seeing him leave to go and get his lunch. He had no idea who I was or that I knew him in another life.

I'd decided against letting on as I didn't want to .... end of.

Glad it wasn't me working with someone else being in the know.

Boot on the other foot, I've had a couple of people text me to say , Saw you at the Tunnel entrance the other day. That creeped me out as I was with my son in law and grandchildren.

Also I've had someone from here text me more than once to tell me they'd seen me entering my works and also saying they saw me at the roundabout..... !!

You just never know.

Do people not understand how unnerving this is? This is exactly the reason I no longer send a face pic out to everyone who asks. I live on a busy main road and I don't want to have to continually look over my shoulder.

It's not flattering, it's as creepy AF.

Yeah, I’m totally with you on this.

Especially you ladies, I can only imagine some of the incidents you must get. Even the people who recognise you and you might even be oblivious to it.

I don’t have my face photos on public anymore but due to a colleague at work seeing me on here haha

As Noël Coward said you dress for your audience, so do I. Dog collar, leather thong I am instantly recognisable to my fans in public..

I had one from here who I never met, only exchanged a few messages with. He found out where I worked and where I lived. Sent various things through the post and would constantly ring my place of work. Ended up having to get the police involved.

Funnily enough I just had someone message me privately from this that said they saw me in the town centre haha.

No creepy stuff though haha.

Just last week we had a creepy guy trying to track us down using the 'who's near' mobile app, then messaged us asking exactly where we live (in a small village)!

App switched off immediately.

Some single guys don't do themselves any favours and a quick read of our very short profile would have put them in the picture anyway.

Really??? People do this?? What in the blue hell makes folk think that's acceptable? I mean meeting someone on a pub and buying them a beer fair enough but to then stalk them. Sweet jesus

Mate, you’d be surprised.

Just think of all the shit so many people go through on here haha. I’d been on a first date before with a lady from here.

Put on their status “going on a first date” (or something similar to that. Then she was getting messages from a guy that described her outfit.

How do you think he found out?

I had to work with the arrogant shit....

I kept changing my profiles, until I came across his to block him first before contact.

I told him to grow some bollocks and get to a club....

He never did.

Shame I would of shown him around

You should watch catfish and see how people can track you just through a phone number or even doing a reverse image search!

It’s scary

It's very easy to do too. Some people have no idea just how visible they are. I've even seen some men on here list their full addresses with post codes in their profiles.

I’m more than happy for someone to recognise me on here. As long as they are discrete and don’t do it when I am with my family. We are all in here for the same reason, and for whatever reason some of us are not on here with our loved ones

Are the rules not simple enough on this, meet fuck and leave and if you do come across people that you have played with treat them the same as any other stranger you meet on the street, PASS

THEM BY without a second glance

I live in Ireland small country and easy to run in to people from this and other sites again treat them as someone you don't know no problem

But if you have someone you have met following you, hanging around your home, work etc that's not swinging it's stalking and while this may not be an easy thing for a swinger to do consider reporting them to the police

You may actually find them sympathetic and helpful without compromising your privacy
