Anyone else kinda bored of seeing the same people on the top of the hot photos?

Don't get me wrong, their pictures are very hot indeed but it'd be nice to see some new faces on pages 1 and 2 every now and then.

Personally I rarely look at the hot photos. I’ll sometimes have a nosey for inspiration for my own pics and now and again I might find an interesting profile.

You can’t help who appears in hot photos. It’s down to who actively posts new pics and of course who will then fab their photos. If the same people keep appearing it just shows lots of people like them. I think that’s a big compliment.

No point getting hung up about it

I do add categories to our pics, but I wonder how much of fab does this, there never seems to be a huge number of updates.

I like looking at the categories, we like tattoos and piercings so it's nice to be able to filter what you like to look at. We also like to see meet play pics so the MF group 4+ category is *ahem* monitored

I'm not involved in the scene or the community really. I just post a few photos each week for fun, and if they get to page 1 then that's nice, but it's not because I'm actively trying. It's a nice compliment though.

Agreed NSP. We're on a swinging site for adults. People should behave like it. If you don't like something, don't look at it. It doesn't warrant a forum post/status or bitchy private message. I think the OP's point has been somewhat missed in a crusade to justify Hot Pics and those that strive to get there - nowhere did he suggest he had a problem with Hot Pics in fact quite the opposite - unless I've misread "Don't get me wrong, their pictures are very hot indeed" somehow.

All that's been said is it would be nice to see some new faces there - and he's right because there are a strong core who appear there pretty much permanently and most have done since I joined the site 5 years ago.

It's also fairly well known that many of them employ various "tactics" to get there in the first place and if that's what floats their boat then good luck to them, no skin off my nose.

Trouble is there's no real way to get a more varied mix - as once someone gets there once they attract a "following" and any subsequent pics are straight away guaranteed Fabs regardless of how good/bad they might be, especially as non-site supporters can't see past page 1 so a good chunk of the site only know those ladies rather than anyone on page 2, 3, 4 etc

Personally I couldn't give two hoots if someone gets to page 1 or page 76 - it's the person behind the pics that interests me, not how "popular" they are in terms of the number of Fabs they get.

One thing I have noticed is that a profile never has more than one pic On the hotlist. Presumably the Fab Gods don’t allow that?

In my own personal research I have noted that top voted fab'd guy's don't have as many fab's as say a top voted female most fab'd women..... That should speak volumes.

It always used to be - and if you think the same people appearing is bad now - it was even worse when they had more than one pic allowed.

They changed it a good few years back to only allow one per person - which always makes me laugh when they release the most Fabbed pics of the year lists as the regulars all dash to put their most Fabbed pics back to public so they appear and the list changes by the minute

The Irish hotpics section has a much smaller audience and when I used to look at it the women on page one had 150-200 fabs.

I've had a few of my pics at no.1 with less than 20. In fact the most I've ever had in one 24 hrs period was 23. I've also been there with as few as 13.

I don't think I've seen any "slating" in this thread though - just people giving an opinion and stating it would be good to see fresh faces there as the OP said.

The only suggestions of anything negative are coming from those defending those that are there and dismissing the valid opinions of others.

In a similar vein to "Don’t like my pic don’t fab it" perhaps "don't like my opinion don't pay it any heed" could be applied, rather than making something that wasn't particularly contentious....contentious!!

Subsequent comments have followed a similar line or said they don't look at Hot Pics or if you don't like them scroll past etc - none of which are tearing anyone down.

As I said further up - the only negativity and contention appears to be coming from those who have *perceived* this thread as some kind of personal attack when it's been anything but.

A few of the really popular ladies have been really kind to me and seem down to Earth and incredibly supportive of other women and they're the reason I look at hot pics.

It's often the most popular women, such as the lady at the top currently who are the nicest women so why wouldn't you want them to do well.

There are people who get on thete because they create content elsewhere though, but it's up to others if they want to fab the photos or not.

People obviously like them or they wouldn't get on there.

I think it's hard to get on page 1 initially as people need to be viewing your profile but once you get on thete you get not listed and people follow you.

Some of the photos that do well surprise me when I see other photos that have, say 70 likes but again it's to do with how well known you are.

I think fab should scrap hot photos to be honest. Just make everyone equal!

And that, I believe, is how many, if not most, see the threads you post along those lines. The difference is that the people at the top of hotpics aren't *usually* doing anything other than posting pictures, and other people are doing their "marketing" for them. And those who are, the people fabbing the pictures don't seem to mind.

None of these things is wrong, they are just different ways of using the site for attention. Which is why the majority of people are here, whether to get the attention of one person or many.

Just to add i wasn't trying to say that OP was being rude as he wasn't at all.

Hot pics is pointless really but I'm very self critical and have had photos do quite well in the past so I get hung up about it. I never even knew about hot pics until I was told I was at number one a few years ago.

I think Jim needs to get on the men's hot pics as he's mote creative than most!

I never look at the hot pics,it bares no interest to me to look at it or be up there. I don't need the validation.

I love the fabs I do have on my pics because they are all given by someone who has appreciated my photos for the sake of them rather than have gained them by begging, fishing and counter fabbing

Give me 100 'genuine' fabs over 1,000 'fake' ones

Who's tearing anyone down on this thread though? The OP made a point about the same faces being seen on Hot Pics and it would be nice to see some fresh ones - which is a valid point and an opinion he's entitled to, he even said that the regulars there have some great pics.

Subsequent comments have followed a similar line or said they don't look at Hot Pics or if you don't like them scroll past etc - none of which are tearing anyone down.

Going on a tangent but I can’t help but notice how a few days ago somebody was asking if the forums were inclusive enough most of the responses were along the line of: get stuck in, comment, open your own threads and in time people will get to know you.

Today someone who appears to be a new comer (I could have missed him, but I personally haven’t seen many contribution from the OP) is being slated for expressing an opinion which no targeted at anyone.

The same people appear as they are the ones getting the most FAB’s, so they must be doing something right.

Some of the pics are fantastic and some aren’t to our taste but that’s what makes FAB great. There’s someone that appeals to everyone.

Gotta say, I agree with OP in that it is often the same women on page 1 each time, myself included. It's not really the fault of those women, they just post photos and get fabbed and develop a bit of a following, so they stick. If you want that to change, they could change the system. Maybe so each person can only be on page 1 once each week or something, I don't know. But it won't change unless the system changes, so maybe petition admin?

You’re right, it’s part of the mechanics of ‘hot pics’: you get once in there, people notice you, hotlist you hence are more likely to fab your next pic. It’s a virtuous circle for people who hit the top of the list and many actually deserve it.

I personally don’t think that should change but maybe a new category like « hot newcomer » listing pics which have the most fab among people who have never been on page 1, 2 or 3… could help introduce some diversity.

I think it’s more frustrating that certain people put their photos in the wrong sections to garner attention. The Men’s section should be MEN only - not pictures of a female or pictures of just the female member of a couple. I’m my opinion the site is way more in the favour of women anyway - so let the MEN shine in their section. I don’t want to see attention hungry/seeking single women in the MEN listing at all who are punching way above their weight. Men would NEVER put their pictures in the Women’s section as they never get enough votes to get anywhere ladies!

TV’s/CD’s like myself have our own category - but surprise, surprise - you get women putting themselves in that category also!

Basically, if there is nothing resembling a man in the men’s section it should not be in there. Similarly, if there is noting resembling a woman in the women’s section it should not be in there (again never/rarely happens). The only exceptions should be if one is part of a couple and in the correct section.

KEEP IT FAIR - so more get a chance to shine in the CORRECT section.

Filtered pictures should be rejected in my opinion as we are all adults of a legal age - not kids. The only amendments allowable should be relating to protecting identities and locations - “strike throughs”.

At the end of the day it’s up to the people who AUTHORISE/REJECT pictures at the site to amend any “deliberate” errors - so that should be easily achievable.
