Bra cup sizes

The right place

I recently found out that there’s no such thing as a cup size! At least in an absolute sense.

The cup sizes vary with band size.

So for example, a 38A has the same cup size as a 34C

Every day is a school day. And this is one of my favourite subjects.

Which is why so many men are terrible at buying underwear for their partner.

The cup sizing is based on the difference between the measurement under and over tbe bust. To add to the confusion, not all brands and styles fit the same.

It does seem a confusing system. No wonder that 80% of women allegedly wear the wrong size bra

Yup. Its the reason so many women are wearing the wrong size bras and why so many men have no clue about boob sizes.

Just from measuring correctly I went from a 42d to a 38g

That’s quite a difference! I bet it felt much better too.

I worked in mothercare at an early age and was taught to measure correctly…the visual difference in wearing correct size is amazing as well as comfort.

I’m in desperate need of another M&S sizing as they always seem to get it right. Until then the puppies will remain free as a bird

For every inch increase from your band size the cup increases. I only learnt that relatively recently

No an online bra measuring app. There's blinking 12 inches difference between my band and cup measurements. How is that even possible? I mean what would the equivalent be in bollock size?

I can believe it looking at your magnificent bosom!!

I think the equivalent in bollock size would involve a trip to check for tropical diseases!

I hate bras!! Even with measuring - the shape and style of bra effects fit also. So a 36f may fit from one brand/shop/style but not in the next

That’s why I use boob or bust to ensure I’m measured correctly and now trying to find decent 36gg bras xT

Yep, that’s why saying something like “She’s got DDs” is redundant. A 32DD is a lot smaller than a 38DD.

This is why it makes me laugh when men insist on asking your bra size - they haven’t a bloody clue what it means anyway. They’ll say to me, yours are massive, I bet they’re a 58D (thinking they big number at the front means big boobs), so you think I’ve got a 58 inch back?
