Supply and demand. Way more men want it than women want to supply it.

My advice is not to look specifically for women who identify as dommes. Look for openminded adventurous looking women who are into a few kinks, then have the talk if you get with one.

Trouble is D/s is a huge spectrum of activities and ideas of what it means which are all very individual - so before you dip a toe it's best that you do some self-reflection about what you think it might mean to you.

For example if you're just looking for someone who takes control and the initiative in bed but sex is otherwise vanilla that's vastly different from being a 24/7 submissive who is kept locked up and only allowed out for a Domme to play with when she pleases and by "play with" I'm not talking sex!!

So it's important you can articulate exactly what you think domination and submission mean to you - I could tell you exactly what my submission means to me, and the kinds of things I like but they would have little bearing as you're not me.

If you truly want to explore and research seek out blogs on the subject, or books such as SM101 or Screw The Roses Bring Me The Thorns - or take some of the on-line questionnaires, the ones that list various BDSM related activities for you to rate in terms of interest - they're a great way to both help you frame your own interest, but also to express that interest to others.

It will also help you decide on boundaries and limits etc. which any Domme worth meeting will want to know very early on.

That's all assuming you're interested in the more kink side of things, if you're simply looking for someone to take control in the bedroom then it's probably something else entirely.
