I've never told anyone this. I don't understand jockstraps. I can't grasp the jockstrap. It's like because I'm a man I'm supposed to instinctively know about jockstraps. But nobody ever explained them to me. They're for playing sports in? I don't understand. How does half-underwear help with playing sports? They're sexy? Are they? I get thongs. The wearing of a thong is underwear, but you still get to see the peach. But, that lovely little anus is covered. Just waiting to be unwrapped . Are they cooler to wear in hot weather? I wouldn't think so. Why not just go commando? I don't get jockstraps.

Personally I like jockstraps. Yes they were originally for sports but like a lot of things they’ve been fetishised. I like them because they frame & uplift a guy’s butt. I like them because they’re unusual, and a guy wearing them is likely to know they’re a sexy thing to wear (and that makes me think he’s looking to be sexual)

Plus, like 99% of fetish objects, you can’t really explain why you find them sexy. You just do.

I also like wearing them myself. I’m getting more into cross-dressing and I like wearing one - makes my bum look great and it’s exciting to dress as the opposite sex (for me!)

But you can wear a cup with Y fronts or boxers."

Many sports don't need a cup.Jock straps mostly limit testicular twisting which can happen with high speed sudden movement or impact. Y fronts or tight briefs wouldn't do this as effectively.

Having played cricket for a number (okay a lot) of years I will state that I do not care how silly, pointless non sexy, ridiculous or anything else people say they are.

As a holder for a nice hard shell of plastic to protect my vital parts from a 80mph cricket ball I can assure you that function is way way more important than form.
