Do people appreciate a wink as a show of interest (if within age range) or would you rather a message with a photo to be sent over

From what I've gathere in around 8 years of using fab, winks are generally ignored.

You're always better off sending a message

Winks are lazy. If someone winks me my immediate thought is they are too busy fabwise to message. Therefore if I respond with a targeted message having taken the time to read their profile. Chances are it will get lost in their busy inbox and go unread. Maybe I'm over thinking it?

To be honest, I'd rather a wink than a lazy "How's you" or "Hey" message - those infuriate me.

I don't look at them unless someone tells me they've winked at me.

True. Such tedious messages only confirm it's unlikely your profile has even been read. Saves time though, you can block then early.

Indeed. It's less effort to ignore a wink than manage my inbox.

I prefer a wink, I can usually tell by the profile if I'm likely to be interested or not

You'll be interested. Oh damn, I forgot to send the wink!

I always appreciate one as it shows interest and that you like what you see
