Olivia Breen, para-athlete, 24 was warned her athletic shorts were too revealing. Personally I think not revealing enough.

Should we let our toned athletes wear what they feel most comfortable in and not what a portly official thinks?

Yes. Works the other way round as well. The Norwegian beach volley ball team were threatened with exclusion from competition because the wanted to wear shorts instead of bikini bottoms. Yes the mens team can wear baggy board shorts.
